I feel like yall might be glazing this show a little too hard. Everything since the cult episode has been kinda boring. It’s still a fun show when nothing else is on though.

This show seems committed to two things. Telling a great story and setting up funny bits. It’s what makes it unique. If you don’t like them taking the needed time to set up the funny bits then it might not be for you.

I've praised the show multiple times in this thread and even in that post said there was good stuff in the episode. I didn't even say the episode was bad, just wasted. Get out of here with this BS not for you crap .

All I'm saying is that if the show wasn't liked, an episode like that would have been bitched about into oblivion for being just filler.

I hated the bloodline scene.. Fell flat for me and wasn't funny in the slightest. I love the series, but episode 9 was filler

I didn't see the Ruth thing coming, but I think it also means the storm won't kill her if she's the last survivor (I don't think she is). As others have said, I think she had a child in secret and that child ended up being Lauren (Tom's wife). It wouldn't surprise me to find out Lauren and Patricia had been friends when Lauren found out the truth and only Patricia knows (which would be why she was so adamant in trying to stop Rosemary from going down the genealogy list).

I think this is it. I think they are definitely setting up the "Prom Queen" trope having the secret baby out of wedlock/prom night type stuff with Ruth with her being the former Miss Widow's Bay, etc. Would be where I put my bet.

I'm not sure if Patricia actually knows or was just wanting to stop Loftis from going down a warpath for someone and making a witch hunt. She could know though. Would also be curious if Lauren had the brooch and gave it to Patricia when they were kids, and the Murderer saw it when coming after Patricia when she was a kid, and that was why he never killed her.

Patricia admitted she lied about the killer coming after her.

I thought she said she only lied about getting phone calls.

Nah. It’s been glazed appropriately. And it’s definitely not just this board that is really enjoying it.

The first two episodes were great, especially the hotel one, but otherwise very meh. Not in the same league as Pluribus or Clarkson’s Farm for example.

From a story telling standpoint I like the idea of Ruth being Lauren’s secret mom, but I don’t think they’ve laid the groundwork.

I still wouldn’t mind if it was a big reveal. But the show is pretty
meticulous with its foreshadowing.
I feel like they would have mentioned her parents or something

Maybe.

I personally like intelligent and interesting writing. This show is good.

Do a post history for posters that don’t get this show - or others.
