Whose acting career would you be most proud of when looking at their movie roles?

As in, whose career would you, personally, want to be remembered for?

I would say either Harrison Ford (Indiana Jones, Han Solo) or Hugh Jackman (Wolverine).

I know I'm missing some big ones and their are probably some that I would never think of.

I'm going to ignore super big names like Hanks, Cruise, etc. That's too easy.

Maybe someone like JK Simmons, Jason Isaacs, or Peter Sarsgaard. They have some big hits to their name while also grinding it out to make a good living. You know they're always going to be good at whatever they do. They've worked hard, and I find that admirable.

I am going to throw an outlier here that many wont get.

Ethan Hawke

ETA: I misunderstood the question.

Just acting and not personal lives?

Aside from the obvious ones:
Cruise
Hanks
Willis

I’ll throw out Mel Gibson. He has comedies, thrillers, action, drama, and pretty much any other genre, and has been successful in all. Then you add in directing as well.

I think Kurt Russell would also be a good one. Disney star as a young kid, and a well established A-lister for about 40+ years.

I think I'm getting the question. That's so subjective, you'd have to ask them - it's a box inside of a box.

Keanu Reeves has a great collection of iconic and fun roles - Ted, Neo, John Wick, Shane Falco, Johnny Utah, Jack from Speed.

Pitt would be wayyy up near the top for me. Elite role selection, and awesome range. He might not be Brando, but try jumping from:

Moneyball, Snatch, Kalifornia, Fury, Benjamin Button, Basterds, Once Upon a Time, Interview with a vampire, Se7en, Fight club, F1….

I know he had a run of “hey look at how stupidly handsome Brad is” flicks like Troy, Legends of the Fall, River runs through it etc. But such an awesome career

I wish they would have cast Oldman as Smiley in other book movies. TTSS was fantastic.

Going to go a different way here. Im thinking depth and breadth; range, you know?

And so, for me, the answer is John C. Reilly.

He was in Both Talladega and Boogie Nights.
