Posey’s character has been the best character this season by a long shot. Just listening to anything she says is hilarious.

I think she was with the older guy on the yacht who met Posey and then Isaac ran them off with his drugged negative vibes.

Right. I agree with all of that. My point wasn’t really pertaining to the significance of the plot around Rick, but rather what I feel was the underutilization of Goggins as an actor. I went into this season expecting him to have a standout character portrayal along the lines of Posey’s, but Rick has mainly just been mopey and depressed and undeserving of his devoted girlfriend.
And I don’t think that’s the fault of the actor so much as that of the writer. And it’s not that the Rick character is written poorly, I just feel like it’s a poor match for the actor.

Mook is stunning. She is practically begging the dude to make something of himself.
Carrie Coon is putting in the work. She isn't afraid to put it out there.
I have a feeling it is going to be upsetting when we find out who gets killed. I hope it isn't Saxon. I'm starting to like him. I hope it isn't Chelsea either.
I feel there will be some type of misunderstanding/shootout between the bodyguards, the Russians, and Gary/Goggins. Don't know what the collateral damage will be.
Or maybe the only death comes from a smoothie.

I think next season they should have a journalist staying at the White Lotus. Either an investigative piece because people end up getting dead at these resorts or a reporter doing a puff piece for White Lotus because people keep getting dead at these resorts. And of course, someone will die. And it would be easy to have a journalist as a character on White Lotus because they are easy to hate.

I posted this last week and still think it might happen. Although maybe instead of the cops going after Goggin, it’s the bodyguards. Either way everyone starts shooting at everyone.

Didn't get to watch Sunday so I missed out on the discussion but watched last night.
The ending was really creepy with Carrie Coon getting in the taxi cab but they spoiled it after the credits showing her up on the balcony back at the resort. Could have left it a mystery like something bad was going to happen to her. I was laughing when the Russian girlfriend bopped her on the head as she was jumping out the window.
I actually think Jaclyn has passed up Tim as my least favorite character this season. She is just an awful person.
I'll say it again, but I really wish Tim would have just shot himself a few episodes ago. He is absolutely insufferable and just a completely boring story line. Just breaking his neck throwing back a seemingly endless bottle of pills. Can the dude not take a pill with water or something? The fact that no one has noticed how zonked out he is other than one time the mom saying "You're not yourself" or "Dad is something wrong at work?" It's kind of ridiculous. Also giving no more details about what actually is wrong at work is dumb. Legit my least favorite story line of any out of the three seasons so far. Rant over.

We don’t know that he goes back. He could have Chelsea meet him in Bangkok.
And, trailers can tell lies to regarding what someone said about Laurie being back at the resort though I think she makes it back.
