Aside from the obvious ones mentioned already, just wanted to say that Accepted and Van Wilder are both underrated.

Revenge of the Nerds

I really don’t think Revenge of the Nerds has aged well. All the nerds should have gone to hardcore prison for what they did. The main nerd raped a chick and the movie finds nothing wrong with that. They also put in cameras throughout the sorority and then sell of their pictures for cash.

There’s a difference between this and Animal House. Pinto doesn’t go through with a chick who was willing to frick him but she was too drunk (and young as he found out later) to truly consent, and Otter’s side quest with Fawn Liebowitz’s roommate is acknowledged as just morally wrong and fricked up. The nerds though are supposed to be the good guys through and through, and are much worse people than the Alphas.

Funny side note on Animal House: the Fawn Liebowitz story is based in truth. The fraternity brother that Otter was based on once read an obituary of a girl who passed away that went to a women’s university about two hours away. The obituary contained pictures of her and her friends, so he drove down to the college faking being her boyfriend and got a pity frick from her former roommate. They all said he was going to hell over that and knew it had to go in the movie.

1. Animal House
2. Old School
3. Van Wilder
4. Waterboy (I know pushing it)
5. Accepted/Back to School

I'm not a snowflake by any stretch, but Nerds is really, really hard to watch now with the sex/rape scene.

Last Fandango also

Do you mean “Fandango” with Costner? That’s a great movie. My friends and I hid a bottle of Jack Daniels on the underside of the Mississippi River bridge (in BR) in the late 80’s. We all were in the Guard and Reserves at the time. We said if we ever went to war, we’d climb back up and get it. We all went to Desert Storm, and around 94, we went back and got it, took a drink each, and put it back. It’s hid very well. Between the time we hid it and went back, they painted the bridge, and it was still there. I bet it’s still there nearly 30 years later.

That's badass.

And I love Fandango, one of my favorite movies. I used to race mountain bikes and there was a big race down in Lajitas TX. It's not far from where DOM was shot. I've been to the exact spot and drank with friends there.

If a list doesn't start with Animal House, it cannot even be considered.
