re: Japan Travelers need advice - L Boogie
You can absolutely do Mount Fuji in a day. We were fortunate enough to have access to my sister's car so we could drive but I think there are shuttles that will take you up to the fifth station. We spent more time traveling to and from the mountain than we did on the actual mountain and it was s...

Soft tacos. I topped mine with sharp cheddar, lettuce, pickled jalapenos, sour cream and hot sauce. Vodka waters while I watch the snow...except I think it just turned to sleet....

re: Austin Folks on the F/D Board, I’m looking for crawfish. - L Boogie
Willie's Joint in Buda does free crawfish on Saturdays. You just have to buy a drink. Their sister bar in Kyle, Papa Jack's, has them on Sundays. I don't know if those are free, though....

re: WFDT - L Boogie
I wanted to order wings from the local joint but Superbowl (we live in Boston so everyone is partying). They weren't taking orders. Instead, the BF ran to the store and grabbed the stuff to make some here at home, along with crinkle fries. So good! Also, vodka waters. And reruns of The O...

A friend of ours visited from TX and brought us a few bottles of Whataburger Honey Butter. My SO is baking biscuits and frying up some chicken tenders so he can try his hand at homemade Honey Butter Chicken Biscuits. I've also got a pot of tomato basil soup simmering right now so I can have some...

re: Anyone here suffer from insomnia? - L Boogie
Do you have generalized Anxiety Disorder?
I do. It's a fricking nightmare. I had a completely untriggered panic attack in the middle of a work meeting today, in front of the owners. I had a couple of things I had to talk about/contribute and I was shaking so hard that it was hard...

re: Beef past the sell-by date - L Boogie
I didn't open the package but there was no noticeable odor...a tiny bit of grayness but it doesn't look too bad. I guess I could crack it open and give it a sniff. I could always stop at the store on the way home from work, but I walk and the weather sucks so I'm trying to avoid making a detou...

Beef past the sell-by date - L Boogie
I had purchased a chuck roast in order to make beef and broccoli, but I haven't had a chance to cook until tonight. I just put it in the freezer (so it will be easier to thinly slice) and noticed that the sell-by date is January 20. Should I still cook it tonight? Will we die?...

re: ADVICE-Trip to Tokyo - L Boogie
Fuji is only open for climbing for like 60 days out of the year, and since we were there in late October, we missed that window. However, you can drive up to the 5th station. There are a few restaurants where you can grab some curry and a beer, a shrine, a couple of gift shops and an AMAZING view....

Also, there is AMAZING beef over there. Definitely do Yakiniku (Japanese BBQ) if you get the chance. Most of them are all-you-can-eat for 90 minutes, and all-you-can-drink packages are available too....

re: ADVICE-Trip to Tokyo - L Boogie
Ninja Bar! It's in the Asakusa district of Tokyo. It's in an old tunnel underneath a train station, and it's super tiny. We loved it. We also did real-life Mario Kart. I dressed up like Princess Peach and drove go-karts in Tokyo traffic for 2 1/2 hours. It was ridiculously awesome. If y...
