re: 7 days in Japan... Recommendations please! - L Boogie
I'm planning to head down to Nara
I liked Nara, but beware that the deer bite and butt. They get VERY aggressive around the food, and depending how big the kid is, he or she may get knocked around a bit. The females were adorable and sweet, but the males were super alpha. Appare...

re: 7 days in Japan... Recommendations please! - L Boogie
I'm actually currently in Japan...typing this from the beach on Sado Island (well, it's snowing, so I'm inside our rental, but I'm still on the beach). Anyway, on our first trip 15 months ago, we spent 4 or 5 days in Tokyo, then did smaller day trips like Yokohama, Kawasaki, Kamakura (Giant Buddh...

re: Family is considering moving to New Hampshire - L Boogie
I love New Hampshire! Our close friends live there and we are in Boston, so we spend a fair amount of time there visiting since it's so close to us. They live in Stratham, so close to Portsmouth/Exeter. It's a beautiful state with pretty beaches and some good breweries. Liquor stores are...
Where ya headed?
We leave Thursday for 15 days in Japan! We've been before, but not in the winter, and while it's slightly warmer there than in Boston, we are spending some time on an island that will probably see lower temps and snow, so packing is more complicated this time ...

re: What are you eating for Christmas? - L Boogie
Leftovers. Fiance and I just did 5 days in Vermont with both sets of parents. We had big meals every night, which took a lot of cooking/preparation on our part, so we're kind of cooked out at this point. We'll eat the minimal leftovers that we have and we ordered a pizza yesterday to supple...

re: Who else buys Christmas gifts for their pets? - L Boogie
I don't have any pets now, but when I was a kid I had both a dog and a cat, and my parents ALWAYS filled stockings for them on Christmas. I think it's neat, and when I have pets again they will definitely get a visit from Santa....
