re: WFDT - L Boogie
We both had the day off so feeling a bit lazy (well, I had a meeting at 4 but I got to drink beer during it, because brewery. Not a total bummer.). We ordered Chinese when I got home because we're both very comfortable on our respective couch and recliner. We got dumplings (both pork & leek a...

I actually DO have a friend who tried out years ago. She made it into training camp but was cut just before making the final squad. Her name is Zoe and she's obviously gorgeous and really fun....

re: WFDT - L Boogie
At work because I'm the Friday night manager. Got an arepa from the Venezualan place we have in the back. Tonight I went with the Domino, which is black beans and mozzarella...I added avocado and pico de gallo and it's topped with basil sauce. Having a Double IPA to wash it down....

re: Jack in the Box counters with the Really Big Sandwich - L Boogie
Gross. Jack in the Box is good for only one thing: tacos Actually, their milkshakes are good, too, but I could eat a dozen of those greasy-ass, fake-ass tacos and not even feel bad about it. They are so good....

re: WFDT? - L Boogie
I've had the laziest, raniest day. Obviously, so as not to disrupt the natural order of my day off, I ordered pizza. Pepperoni and black olive, a couple of steak and cheese rolls and some mozzarella sticks. Hit the spot and I have tons of leftovers. Vodka waters....

re: Beef Tongue - L Boogie
Beef and pork tongue are popular in Yakiniku (Japanese BBQ)...they slice it super thin and then toss it onto an open flame for a minute or two. It's delicious. It's very flavorful and I've always found it to be pretty tender, but just like everything else, it's all about how you prepare it. Maybe...

re: WFDT Glorious Cold Front Edition - L Boogie
I bought about a dozen ears of corn from a farm in New Hampshire yesterday, sooo... Made my MaMaw's chicken & dumplings with a side of her fried corn. Roasted some zucchini/yellow squash to go with. Tastes like my childhood :) Although it will never be as good as hers. Vodka waters....

Pabellon bowl from the Venezualan place at work. Black beans, rice, plantains, shredded chicken, pico de gallo and basil sauce. Amazing, and FREE because they love me! Don't worry, I tipped. Beer because I'm at work and there are no vodka waters here....

re: Has the "craft beer/Brewery" industry declined? - L Boogie
We do get kids in our spot, but almost always only on weekends during the day or right at open on weekdays. Generally birthday/graduation/engagement parties (we have a HUGE space and often do large reservations). So, technically, we are family friendly but don't usually get kids...when we do, ...

Your grind is too fine. We use a French almost exclusively and never have sediment issues. Do you grind your own beans? Grinders are fairly inexpensive and it really makes all the difference. ...

re: Food and Beer in Syracuse, NY? - L Boogie
We were there for like 12 hours last month and we had an absolute blast. Syracuse is a dump, but it's a FUN dump. Lots of little dives, which we're into. Definitely do breakfast at Mother's Cupboard. It's a tiny little dive filled with locals, cash only and the food is so great. I'll ...

re: Wedding Registry Items? - L Boogie
I agree with an immersion blender. It is a game-changer for making soups and salsa. We just got a great new set of steak knives, so if you don't have good ones, that might be a nice choice. Honestly, I love our electric kettle. It boils water quickly, which is great for our French press and ...

re: T OR F? Narcan was the worst thing for society in a long time - L Boogie
We are required by the city to keep it on hand in our brewery in case of an OD on the property. Myself and the rest of the managers also had to do a mandatory training on how to administer it. I doubt I'll ever have to use it, but I don't mind knowing how....
