re: Some thoughts from Japan. - L Boogie
I got back about 3 weeks ago and we are already planning our next trip. We visited Zushi, Yokosuka (we stayed with family on base), Kamakura, Kawasaki, Yokahama, Mount Fuji, and spent 4 separate days in Tokyo. Next trip we want to take the bullet train to Kyoto and Osaka. That country is magi...

re: WFDT 11/17 - L Boogie
It's cold and windy out again and we've been out at Fenway all day so I made something hearty to warm our insides. Braised short ribs, mashed potatoes and roasted carrots. We'll probably crack open a bottle of red wine. Vodka waters....

re: Expert International traveler help requested. - L Boogie
I just got back from Tokyo about 2 weeks ago. We got the best deal through Air Canada and flew Boston-Toronto (1 hr plus some change), then flew directly from Toronto to Tokyo (~ 13 hours). That second leg was grueling. When we do it again (which we will, Japan is AMAZING), we will try to bre...

re: Do you tip Uber? - L Boogie
You get a ride for 7 blocks? Do you live/work in a bad area or are you a fatass?
 Neither. I'm a small female carrying cash walking in the wee hours of the morning by myself. I think it's a no-brainer to catch a ride and make it home in 2.5 minutes instead of ma...

re: Do you tip Uber? - L Boogie
I do. I live in a place where it's not worth the cost and hassle to have a car; public transportation is king, or you can just use your legs or a rideshare. I walk to work but get off in the early morning hours and don't feel comfortable walking home by myself at that time...regardless of ho...

It's my BF's birthday and we are still on a Japan high after our recent trip, so he wanted yakiniku...Japanese BBQ. All-you-can-eat for 90 minutes. So much meat. It was delicious, great quality and overall, a really good value. Harami miso skirt steak was the clear favorite, with beef tongue...

re: Does anyone here genuinely like their work? - L Boogie
I like mine. I work in a brewery, though, so it would be tough to hate it if you like people and beer. I like both. There are rough patches, sure, but for the most part it's awesome. Money is great, people are great, hours are flexible....

Jealous. I love Maine. No beers yet but I work at a brewery so hopefully the Horchata milk stout will still be on tap when I get there in 30 minutes. So that, probably....
