I met OJ Simpson when I was a extra on Naked Gun 33 1/3. I only talked to him once, but he was nice.

OJ Simpson was hilarious in the Naked Guns series but I wouldn't recommend fooling around with his ex.

I went to a small art show in West Hollywood over a decade ago that featured pieces inspired by 80s movies, and Ernie Hudson showed up. He actually spoke with my sister and I for several minutes and was quite friendly. I got a kick out of him saying "I still talk to Danny and Harold regularly...Bill is a little harder to get a hold of."

Since my sister works in the industry, she has a ton of stories, many of which I can't even remember. Her funniest story though has to be when she went apartment hunting in L.A. with Shirley Jones riding shotgun.

But re: David Keith...did that happen in the 70s? Dude is old as frick now, cant imagine him being carded for at least the last forty years.

No. It was about five years ago. You have to be carded no matter what in Tennessee. It's the law. You can get fined.

Met Lenny Kravitz in an airport bar while waiting for a connecting flight.

Was sitting next to him for about 20 minutes and into my second old fashioned when it dawned on me why he looked so familiar to me.

By this time, almost everyone else had left the bar and it was just one or two other people.

He caught me glancing at him and says, not angry - but directly, "What?!".

I immediately respond with no hesitation the only words that I could think to say, not planned, it just came out: "I'm just wondering... is Lisa Bonet as crazy as the tabloids say?"

Loud boisterous laughter. "You gonna lead with that!!!"

"Sorry, didn't mean to offend. I had a huge crush on her back in the day. Just hoped to get verification if that was wasted energy."

(pause)

"I'll tell you this. She's crazy as hell man. But she's the most loving person I'll ever know and I'll love her until I die. She's truly beautiful on the inside and out."

(another pause)

(slight chuckle) "but yeah, she's crazy as hell."

After that, we talked about Eleuthera, Bahamas for another 20 minutes or so until I needed to catch my flight. Pretty sure all he was drinking was water with lime wedge (if anyone is wondering).

I ran into George Lopez at one of the outdoor, high-rise balcony bars in Vegas. He was sitting quietly at a table and drinking with a few friends.

I was in a group comprised mostly of women, and no one else recognized him. I told one of the girls (a fan) who he was, knowing that she would go over and start bothering him. He actually was very nice to her. But she was pretty hot.

Afterwards, I walked up to him, told him what I had done, and apologized. He agreed that it was funny, and shook my hand. Nice guy.

Ran into Elisabeth Shue on vacation in the Caribbean in the early 90s. Had a few drinks together and tried to bed her. Failed. Bummer.

I have met Bush-41 (while VP), Bush-43 (pre-governor), Rick Perry, Ann Richards and a host of other Texas politicos.

Both Bushes were genuinely nice men. Most of the others were pure politicos. Rick Perry in particular seemed like an empty suit.

Was throwing a decoy for the dog at the park when Ryan Gosling walked over, followed by a guy with a big studio Steadicam.

The actor asked in a polite, pleasant voice if he could throw the decoy for the dog.

After he threw a few times a passerby screamed "That's Ryan Gosling!" and a mob scene ensued.

A similar thing happened at DFW when I spotted a fashionably-dressed Renée Zellweger walking out of an airport restaurant.

A dipshit coworker screamed "That's Renée Zellweger!" and started chasing her through the terminal.

So it seems like most celebrities are nicer than most fans.

Can confirm. It's the dumbest thing ever.

They will card a 90 year old woman in a wheelchair.

When I was a youngster, had a miss USA bitch come to our business. I had to take down her personal information and she flat out refused because she didn’t trust me. For like 10 minutes I explained to her I was the only one allowed to fill out the paper work and she said no.

Manager knew her and called her later to tell her I was correct.

Caddied for Dennis Quaid. Not a jerk, but not overly friendly. Probably just a typical caddy/golfer relationship though.

I saw Eminem go into a bathroom stall once to take a shite, so I stood by it until he came out and I asked for an autograph. He wouldnt give it to me so I called him an a-hole.

Lived in Hendersonville, TN in the early/mid 80s. My mom's younger brother was a session player, so I got to meet some of the country artists who lived there. The Oak Ridge Boys, Ricky Skaggs, the guys from Alabama and Charlie Daniels were all really nice.

We went to the same church as Johnny Cash and one Sunday, as the service was letting out, I was running to get out the door to beat my sister to the car. I ran into this guy and he stepped on my foot. I looked up and Johnny Cash was glaring down at me like I was a bug. He turned and kept walking; never said a word.

Nicest one I ever met was Clarence Thomas at a social event. Very friendly and just wanted to cut up and laugh.

Also Gordon Ramsay was very nice, polite, engaging, and respectful. I really wanted him to call me a donkey, but his friendly demeanor was too disarming.

I ran into comedian Dave Attel on the street. Tried to get him into a bar by tempting him with a few warm-up rounds on me before a show, but unfortunately he had probably sobered up by then. Quitter.

Ran into Nancy Pelosi once in Union Station in DC. We almost literally ran into each other. She looked surprised. My first thought was - nice tits. I just wrapped up a happy hour with some buddies, so I was a bit buzzed and think I probably complemented her tits, but I mumbled. I doubt she heard me. I regret not speaking up.

Most of the celebrities I've met have been very nice but usually I've been introduced to them by someone they already know so their guard isn't as up as if I were to meet them cold. Generally though, very few jerks. Of the ones I met without an intro:

A couple friends and I bumped into Mark Wahlberg on Canal St and he was super nice. Actually chatted us up about how much he loved New Orleans.

Vince Vaughn gave off an aloof vibe but I don't think that makes him a jerk. He kinda seems like what you'd expect.

Chadwick Boseman might be the coolest, nicest, most earnest human (not just celebrity) I have ever met. That guy was just an absolute ball of radiating positive energy. All those cliches about people who made everyone they meet feel special and light up a room--they all apply to Chadwick.

Sarah Hyland (Modern Family) once entered my place of work and asked to used our public restroom. I pointed her in the right direction; she thanked me. She was quite striking.

My wife has met Patrick Dempsey, Anna Farris, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Rebel Wilson. She had pleasant interactions with all of them, but says Dempsey was far-and-away the nicest of the bunch.

I have met a ton, mostly in professional settings, so don't get a lot of the rude can't be bothered stuff. I met Jeremy Allen White the other day. We talked Kerry Von Erich and the Bear for several minutes.

Ran into Ernie Hudson at LAX once, and he was thrilled to be recognised. I also met Henry Winkler at LAX and he was a very nice guy, and talked to everyone who approached him.

Chris Pratt remains the coolest celebrity I ever met. My son and I fished near him at a BREC pond together for a long while talking about the Lego movie, and dinosaurs. We started talking shop, and he ended up coming on a trout trip with us with a buddy of mine who is a charter captain out of Cocodrie.
