Not the first time I've heard that about DW unfortunately.

Now Rusty Wallace, that's a cool cat.

I was an extra in the movie The Toy which was filmed in Baton Rouge. I met Richard Pryor and Ned Beatty who were awesome and I saw Jackie Gleason who was a jerk to all the extras.

My sister was in Bette Midler's class in Hawaii and she used to spend the night at our house.

He was Beverly Leslie on Will and Grace, and has been in a number of sitcoms since then, most recently on Call Me Kat on Fox. He's a tiny little gay dude from Chattanooga whose southern drawl stood out in LA like a sore thumb.

Yup...know him, but didn't know the name.

Ryan Phillippe use to hang out at college bars while filming in Baton Rouge. Hung out with him at Chelsea's since he sparked a booger sugar friendship with a guy I know.

kind of a dick. I was also a drunk college kid telling him that I loved Way of The Gun and Mcgruber

also saw Morgan Freeman playing the LSU golf course. I just thought it was an old black guy.

My coolest celebrity interaction was when I met Billy Bob Thornton at a restaurant bar. My girlfriend and I had finished our meal and were killing time at the bar bc it was pouring outside and we didn't want to get soaked trying to get a cab (this was pre-uber). He was really friendly and we chatted a few minutes. When his party arrived he had his driver take us home.

I was once at a wedding reception with Gene Chizik. He was super nice and we talked a few minutes.

I've met a few others at events, but those were shake a hand and move along situations where I didn't get a feel for personality.

Peyton Manning is a huge A-hole. It amazes me he has hidden it so far from the media

Grew up and still live in S’port/Bossier. Back during the 70’s my grandfather, worked for Channel 3 and was also the “Voice of Mid South Wrestling”. He did the Tv interviews and ring side announcing.
Met pretty much every wrestler that came thru during that time. Andre the Giant was by far the coolest. Junk Yard Dog and Ice Man King Parsons were also pretty good dudes.

During the early 2000’s when there were a ton of movies being made around here I met a few.

Was doing some work in Minden and they shut down both ends of Main Street to film a scene by the bank. I was stuck sitting outside the barbershop on a bench until they were done. Out of nowhere, Willie Nelson came walking up and asked
If he could sit. He wasn’t in the scene being filmed. We sat in the bench and talked for about 20 minutes. Super nice guy. He apologized for delaying my schedule, talked about how he liked small towns like Minden and how they reminded him of his hometown.

One of my co workers rented a duplex in South Highlands. Movie studio leased out house next door for a film. Was riding with him one day and we swung by his house to get some paperwork he had forgotten. When we were coming out of his house, Queen Latiifa was walking up the driveway headed to the horse next door. She stopped and spoke for a few minutes. She already knew my co worker by name. Talked like she was just the neighbor next door. Really nice lady.

Was in St Vincent Mall and saw Jessica Simpson with a couple other girls. They were in sweatshirts and had on caps obviously trying to go unnoticed. Made eye contact with her but didn’t say anything, respecting her privacy. My 8 y/o daughter recognized her and got all excited. We saw them again later in another store. I didn’t want to bother her but I told my daughter to go over by herself and say hello. I figured she wouldn’t mind talking to a little girl especially after I had already shown I was respecting her privacy. My daughter went over by herself and then almost immediately came back. She told my daughter she wasn’t Jessica Simpson and to go on. What a bitchy thing to do.

My first job out of law school was a federal clerkship in Amarillo. The year prior Oprah had been sued for defaming the beef industry in a show about mad cow disease. It was a huge case under the new "veggie libel" laws which provided a cause of action for defaming a product. It went to trial and Oprah won. She charmed the jury but in real life was a diva and a pain. Interesting footnote is that is how she met Dr. Phil. Dr Phil was a trial science consultant. His company is still operating Courtroom Science Inc in Fort Worth. Chip Babcock out of Dallas hired him and they won and the rest is history.

What? Reese Witherspoon is an A list celebrity. I mean she's won an Academy Award for best actress. Even in the past few years she's been a lead on incredibly popular TV shows in Big Little Lies (she was nominated for an Emmy as best lead actress) and The Morning Show.

Justin Timberlake- been around him and his parents and grandparents multiple times. Godmother worked for him. Nice guy and funny but can be a dick like anyone if annoyed.

Similarly anyone he dated including Brittney I’ve met. Cameron Diaz was the hottest to me only because I had a crush on her since the mask. Also most people he worked or toured with Timbaland, Pharrell, Pink, Usher to name a few. Most of them super nice still have Timbaland’s phone number he text my dad on his birthday.
