What the frick was that?

I think I'm pulling the rip cord on this one. It's just too weird. I don't know what the hell else I should have expected from the show runner, though.

Thought it was a great episode. Nice to see Laurie, know what’s going on with Dan, Ozy confirmation, liberal utopia looks a lot like fascism... Dr Manhattan

Best episode yet. Jean Smart is awesome. Ozy in the classic comic suit was amazing.

Jean Smart is a treasure. If the rest of the season is her tooling people with snark interspersed with the Wacky Adventures of Jeremy Irons And Friends I am here for it.

There have been some awesome shots in the show, and it's been a lot of fun looking out for the Easter Eggs. Anyone else catch the name of the motel last night?

As far as the plot of the show, I've got no idea where this thing is going, but I guess I'm along for the ride at this point.

ETA: I'm interested to check out the companion podcast HBO is doing with Lindeloff like they did for Chernobyl. The first episode came out last night and covers the first 3 episodes.

I'm liking that Lindelof is treating the 80's of this reality with a little corny nostalgia and not as some sacred moment that cannot be blasphemed.

I'm guessing that the comment about getting Laurie's owl out of its cage was referring to Dan being in prison?

Old school Laurie showing up to laugh at the new police/vigilantes was hilarious. I chuckled every time she said "Racist Detector!".

Regina's reaction to Laurie's threatening FBI speech was damn good. Nice when a show this broad is aware of itself like that.

Glad to have some clarification on why Tulsa is such a hot spot. The ham-handed way in which they dispersed their reparations helped in the worst way possible.

We really need a heavy dose of either Laurie or Ozymandias in every episode going forward.

Good catch. I was too focused on the bird itself to see the parallels (even down to the color of the cloth covering the cage, now that I think about it). I found it an odd statement but didn't think more about it.

Having known next to nothing about the Watchmen comics or graphic novel or whatever, I am really enjoying this show. Its weird, mysterious, complex, and the acting is great. Will continue to watch.

That's what I was assuming. Should be interesting.

Yea that was nice. As Laurie was saying all that I was like good lord her giant badass intimidated thing is going to get old. Glad she got shot down, that was a good scene.

Just bc I'm stupid... That was Dr Manhattan dropping the car in front of her at the end right? Just to say, yea I'm listening, here's a joke for ya.

I thought it was him dropping a brick from space, going through the roof of her car.

I think that was Angela’s car, dropped from the ship that picked it up in the last episode. Not sure Dr. Manhattan did it. That could have been a coincidence.

If so, it’s a prison of his own making. Fairly certain the Game Warden is another Mr. Phillips clone. The letter from the Game Warden addressed Veidt as “Master.”
