Anyone else catch when Amelia and hays are talking and his daughter comes downstairs coughing and says she can’t breathe? Much like the Purcell’s were describing their household. She also tells her mom, Amelia, to tell her a story in the same way we first see Amelia asking in her classroom. Don’t know if it means anything but I found it interesting.

Am I the only one that sees nick saban every time they show 90s Stephen dorff
During the interrogation of random dude, he looked exactly like early 2000s Dennis Quaid. I had to blink a few times because I thought it was Quaid.

I have been seeing this the entire show. It's spooky.

Question I have is it seems like Tom is dead in the 2015 time-line... Wonder if he commits suicide after killing Obrien.
Hays at the end of ep 5 tells west "she could still be out there" so it makes sense that Julie and Tom never meet each other again in 90 and Julie never officially is found. It's possible maybe Amelia actually finds her somehow but nobody else ever learns of it.
Wasn’t there a quote in the early episodes that was something along the lines of “it’s a shame what happened to Tom and Julie”
But then again this episode Hays in 2015 said she could still be out there, didn’t he?

Still very interested about “ what we did” they keep referring back to.

I remember this as well. They said something about like It's a shame what happened to Tom and Julie. That led me to believe that they both died shortly after 1990.

The new episode was released early online due to the superbowl on Sunday.
I may watch it 6 times during the Snoozer Bowl

I still hate the Wayne and amelia scenes. I just don't care.
That’s my only real complaint about this season. Their scenes are too long and drawn out

I disagree. I find their relationship compelling.
When he's asking her what's that smell at the hospital after the shootout? Holy shite.
And when she raised her dress in Ep4. That's one of the sexiest things I've seen on TV in a couple years.

Great episode, the ending is easily the best scene of the season so far. Very heartfelt, and similar to Rust and Cohle’s heart to heart at the end of season 1. Even though Dorff’s character is not considered the central character, he sure as hell is doing work with every scene he’s in. At this point, I would argue that either character could easily have been the center of this season. Dorff has had less screen time and has been able to develop into a deep-layered character all the same.
Hats off to both, though, they are killing it.

They said what happened to "julie and her dad"
Not sure Tom is her dad.

Dorff is doing better than Ali.

Did they play the Rory Erickson song or the Ghost cover in the episode?

Agree, without a doubt the best episode this season by far. So reminiscent to S1. The last scene was awesome..

Best episode this season and one of the best in the series. Both detective roles have been masterfull this season, I honestly can’t remember Dorf being better than this in anything. Anyone know how many episodes they will do?

8 episodes total.
There were just so many iconic moments in this episode. Hard to pin one down.
The shootout/death of Woodard.
The seduction/sex scene.
The most awkward dinner since Breaking Bad.
Wayne going up the stairs to tuck in his kids, then he's an old man, looking for his family. The door opening in 1990 as 2015 Wayne looks in on a hallucination of his family....
The scene between the two old men on the porch. Holy shite.
They packed a shitload into Ep5.

I’m just here to boast that the cop in the evidence room is one of my very good childhood friends. Not so subtle brag

This was an absolutely badass episode. I felt so bad for Woodard.
