I think the cousin didn't know or didn't reveal the entire plot, so it was just a partial confession of his own involvement.
Wayne and Roland get carried away with a beating and he dies. Then they toss the body.

Maybe the peep hole was a clue that Will was watching who went into the bedroom and Kindt found out about it and killed Will.
I just don't know the connection with the cousin as anybody on that block or a regular would have known who he was.
The toys in the woods might have been an offering to the kids to become passive towards Kindt and be eased into leaving. Will eventually snapped out of it though.

Don't blame the props guy. It is every bit as likely he was told how to do it. The conversations go like this:
Props: "That isn't how that goes." Followed by explanation of how something actually works.
Director: "Do you like your job? Do you want to be fired? Shut the frick up and I will let you know when I want your help."
I have seen this very conversation take place on set.

Also, did you see the shot of the blue house right before the dinner scene? Wasn't that Wilson Park? I cracked up at the comment he made about the house/neighborhood. Aren't houses in WP going for 300/ft right now

It could be.....if that chicken plant and its owners/employees are somehow connected. There's no way of knowing yet.

I like the theory about Wayne and Roland taking out the cousin.
Maybe that's why the interviewer is interested in the story in the first place. Perhaps some DNA came up at the scene linking the 2 detectives to the cousin's killing ?
Maybe that's why she tells him that she cannot show him all of her cards yet.

I was thinking this as well. Either the phone call was faked by someone trying to pin the kidnapping on the Dad or it actually was her and she was referring to someone else in the frame of the camera.

Or she has been brainwashed by her captives after years of abuse. She clearly is messed up in the head thinking she's a princess from a pink room. I bet the pink room is where she was being held before she escaped.

Probably. Houses pretty much in the box bounded by North Street, MLK, the University campus and Mount Sequoyah are $250/SF and up right now. 2000 SF new construction with zero lot is an easy $500k and up. Closer to the square they're more like $600-700k.

I may be alone here, but I think something is going to come from that tip line call that occurred in ep 2 or 3 (can’t remember which). The caller referenced she had a dream that the girl was being held at a snake farm and that her dreams always come true. Roland scoffs and then tells her to call back in the morning and ask for the FBI agents.

Somebody is gonna kill Harris too. (The cop that has a hand in this). I think they killed him and made sure he wasnt found. When Roland says “that man who’s name you just said” when talking about the mother being connected was too coincidental.
