Do we know what Roland wants Wayne to apologize for?
The acting was great in that scene. Seeing rolands face change and heart break when Wayne said he didn’t remember any of it.

Unknown at this point but if they haven't talked in 24 years it might be something related to the end of his relationship with Lori or maybe he did something without Roland's input and it caused a blowup.

I don’t the kids did it, what would be the motive? Unless they were paid to do it by Hoyt or another involved party...?

Hats off to both, though, they are killing it.
Dropping in just to cosign on this. The episode's end scene exchange between elderly Hays and West brought the feels. Ali and Dorff did an amazing job in that sequence.
The chemistry between Marty and Rust in S1 was a level all its own, but I'm really enjoying the Ali and Dorff duo in S3...

Ali handing the flowers to Dorff for dinner reminded me a lot of season 1 when McConaughey showed up drunk to dinner and gave a puzzled Woody flowers

The interaction in the dudes kitchen tells me otherwise.

One eyed black man, in a new sedan, seen in the area, bought ten corn husk dolls
Kids had new toys, including electronics, hidden in the woods
Mom wrote the note
I think she gave/sold the kids to someone, O'Brien was supposed to deliver them and when they went to take them away the boy resisted and hit his head on the rocks. They posed the boy like he was in a coffin, I think that O'Brien and Lucy did that
They then took the girl away and raised her. She has been living somewhere taken care of for 10 years before she ran away and popped up in Sallisaw.
I think Lucy arranged the whole thing with her cousin to get the kids away from their father and Lucy OD'd in Vegas from guilt over her son.

He didn't completely solve it. I think he got close. West would obviously know if hays had completely solved the case. Hays also tells west in the final scene on the porch "she could still be out there"
So, my guess is Julie was never officially found to their knowledge and there is at least 1 or more involved parties that were never brought to justice by the present day 2015 time line
It's possible that Amelia discovered things about the case and included in her book that will be important to hays and west now that he's reading the book, but I don't think she could have completely solved the case.

5 episodes in is the show worth watching?

Love this season, but a lot of the plot details are too complicated for me. Goes over my head but I enjoy it regardless.

Whose body did Hayes day they found, right before telling Dorf that the mom wrote the letter? Didn’t have subtitles on and haven’t had time to rewatch.
