Jesus a bunch of giant babies in here.
We're worried about reality when this is a show about the zombie apocalypse.
I thought it was a solid episode. Things are finally moving and the group is finally fighting back.
Gabriel is a dumbass.

I absolutely loathe that argument. It is stupid and you should feel bad, just like the poster pointed out earlier in the thread.

About a half mile zombie trudge I guess? Have they given a distance from the outer perimeter highway to Sanctuary proper?
They detonated the SUV before Rick and them even entered the compound. Then progressed into Savior's outer base to ambush the recon in force. I don't recall the watches being shown after getting the herd in motion and the savior's lured.
The windows is a morale thing, while the zombie moat forms and reinforces lower windows will take resources to block. Higher windows will let in the elements and moans.

I think a lot of people get hung up over what details constitute an acceptable break.
Ninja zombies gets a bit silly I think everyone can agree.
Some are on about supplies, all three communities are united now. We don't really have a full accounting. We know the kingdom got away with farm tributes. Which left them a lot of other supplies. Alexandria also raided the women camp and has a lot of gear from it still even though the garbage pail kids took a lot.
To what we've been shown only sanctuary and garbage pail kids are fully scavenge. Hilltop and kingdom were already farming and producing, Alexandria was converting to farming.

Payback for taking mattresses from Alexandria?

I continue to watch simply because I've been doing so but this show's writing is hot garbage.

I have been watching since the first episode and have read the comics after the third or fourth season of the show. I'm still watching because of the time invested in watching but I have found myself a little less interested every season. I honestly forgot it was starting again and wasn't all that excited to watch.

Are they finally going to kill off Carl? He is getting a moral compass and the flash forward that just shows Ric's face in shock maybe telling us something.

Just because it's fiction doesn't excuse the lazy writing. The annoying part is they're dragging out the story. They had and opportunities to kill Negan last season and in this episode but they didn't.
I blame AMC more than the writers since AMC wants milk this show as much as possible. They don't want the writers to wrap up the storyline.

i believe the 2 flash forwards represented what could happen if they lost and carl and michonne were killed....vs what would happen if they won and they all lived happily ever after
the one where his eyes were all red, it looked like he had just buried some bodies
knowing negan, he would probably let rick live just to punish him

quote:They've said outright that they want to run the show for as long as they can. With today's lower standards of what constitutes a "hit" show, TWD could be the next Gunsmoke and continue for another decade and a half.

Folks have made the same complaints for, idk, 3-4 seasons now.
At this point everyone knows what they are getting in this show. And you'll still watch.

Should've shot Negan right in the pecker when he was talking about dick sizes

Just watched.
Wow. So dumb. And I bet the writers patted them selves on the Back so much for coming up with this elaborate scheme. What they didn't realize is all your planning is shite when you don't take the opportunity that is RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR FACE to kill Negan.
Sheesh. Also, the dialog this episode was worse than a B-Movie.
I'm with everyone who said they continue to watch only because of previous time invested.

TWD is a soap opera now.

Negan is one of the better characters on television right now. Why the frick would they kill him off? Just stop watching already. The show obviously has run its course for some of you so just move on. Some of us still enjoy it and as a comic reader I like the way they’re setting up All Out War. The same people have been bitching for going on 3 years now. I’ve never watched a show that I didn’t like that long.

I mean, I guess it's the point of the thread, but I've never seen a show that inspires both so much attention with people watching and so much loathing.
Walking Dead's big problem is you often can't take the episode at face value, and we're rarely seeing the whole picture in one episode. Sometimes that works out well, and sometimes it doesn't.
That answers 1) Rick not killing Negan immediately 2) No one else being around the base 3) The flashes which seem to be the big complaints.
I guess I'm saying either you might have to be patient (which is tough when the show has milked patience before)....or stop watching?
I still enjoy it, but dang, I generally value my time more than watching something that infuriates me
