re: Spinoff: Where do you conceal carry and what do you carry? - hoppinnissan
Surprised how many here appendix carry. I always get grief from friends when they find out I appendix carry. I used to do 4-5 o'clock with an Alien Gear and my Shield but now I appendix carry with a CYA IWB kydex holster...

re: Les Miles Podcast - hoppinnissan
I have always been a fan of Les as a man but not so much as a coach. I have listened to all of the episodes and he is clearly what we have always heard. Loves LSU, family man, and very loyal. Great guy just too stubborn to keep his job....

re: Chris Stapleton- Etta James - hoppinnissan
Not sure if common knowledge but had to share my disappointment this afternoon. Heard Etta James' "I'd Rather Go Blind" today and Chris Stapleton's version of "Tennessee Whiskey" is a ripoff of this song. Thought his take on this song was unique. SIAP---searched and found zilch. [/quot...

re: The Walking Dead S8 E1 "Mercy" Thread NO SPOILERS - hoppinnissan
I have been watching since the first episode and have read the comics after the third or fourth season of the show. I'm still watching because of the time invested in watching but I have found myself a little less interested every season. I honestly forgot it was starting again and wasn't all that e...

re: Rheumatologist Dr...anyone here have RA with pointers - hoppinnissan
My wife was just diagnosed with a form of arthritis after years of joint pain and she is only 30. Bad thing is majority of auto immune diseases can't be diagnosed medically but only clinically. Definitely get multiple opinions before a doctor starts trying to give you agressive treatment. Good luck!...

re: Mooyah Burgers - hoppinnissan
I hardly ever get anything else because it is on of my favorites. Everything else is good there also. Pro tip: get the sweet potato fries with the burger and ask for a cup of the praline sauce they use on the bread pudding....

re: Roatan - hoppinnissan
Thanks. I’m going Nov 7 thru 12
Don't be scared of the dock rooms with no AC. We went in March and it was warm during the day but was cold with the louvers open and fans running. The dock rooms have good water views and are convenient to get to the restaurant and dive shop/boats. I...

re: Mooyah Burgers - hoppinnissan
I find the Mooyah by Cabela's is much better than the one on Siegen. The sweet potato fries with honey are awesome. Philay's in Gonzales is one of my favorite burgers "in town" it's a good sized, homemade patty with good flavor and it's on a sourdough bun. Griffin Grill is pretty good also....

re: Roatan - hoppinnissan
Spent at Anthony's Key and dove all week. It's good diving and they do have a shark dive you can do if you are interested in that. There are also dolphins that are kept at a smaller island right off of the main island of the resort. Definitely do the dive "Spooky Channel" if you are decently experi...

re: Scuba Diving - some info and pics - hoppinnissan
I will try to get a pic for you. It's just made from PVC conduit. It works really well and well for stable video because you use two hands and sort of "drive it" like a steering wheel. As long as you have good buoyancy anyways....
I watched the Bonaire 2013 video. Amazing stuff. Can't wait to watch the others. What settings do you usually go with on your GoPro? What filter? Thanks
My newer videos are shorter and filmed better. lol I used an older GoPro Hero 2 for the longest at 720 I think. I have a newer...

re: Scuba Diving - some info and pics - hoppinnissan
Question on the Nitrox. Breathing the normal air, I never feel like I get a good breath. Was down around 80ft yesterday and I didn't struggle but that sensation did worsen just a bit. Is the nitrox mix easier to breathe or is it even noticeable?
Main benefit is less residual nitrog...

re: Scuba Diving - some info and pics - hoppinnissan
I got certified 10 years ago but have been actively diving the last 6 years or so. I have NAUI AOW and Nitrox and a little over 100 dives so far. I have dove in Cozumel, Belize, Roatan, Bonaire, the Keys, most the Florida panhandle areas, Jupiter, FL for shark diving, and the Philippines. I want...

I have been to Bonaire multiple times and thought about Curacao a bunch of times. Reef looks much less interesting than Bonaire. Hope you have some good dives....

re: New travel destination: Roatan? - hoppinnissan
If you want some great diving and for that to be the main activity, check out Buddy Dive on Bonaire. It's right by Curacao and Aruba. I have been twice and the diving is awesome! Very light if any current, great viz, and tons of life. Not much pelagics, but the most fish you will see somewhere at on...

re: New travel destination: Roatan? - hoppinnissan
I stayed at Anthony's Key about a year ago and dove all week. It is a nice resort and definitely has the remote feeling. Can't beat the price for the dive package and all your meals. Most of the time you can catch a buy one one stays free deal. My wife and I had a room, meals, and diving for $1,500 ...
