iirc Negan and those with him retreated back inside Sanctuary under covering fire in the comic.
This is one of those tried to make it a little different and didn't scan as well to the audience.

Seriously... TWD needs a spoiler/non spoiler thread, and also a complainer/non complainer thread
It’s not even worth discussing at this point... this place is overrun with people who don’t like the show but for some reason, can’t stop watching... and every third post in this thread is the same shite.. ‘ah well the writing sucks, the acting sucks, the dialogue is terrible, and they have unlimited ammo but I can’t stop watching because I have so much time invested...’
Who gives a shite? I don’t post on the soccer board. Why? Because I don’t like soccer and don’t find it interesting at all.. but i also don’t think my opinion matters enough to go there and just shite on it and ruin the possibility of discussing matches, upcoming events, etc
If you don’t like the show, don’t watch, and for the love of god, stop ruining these threads.. there is about 2 pages of worthwhile content, and 7 pages of slapdicks saying that they can’t stand it

1. Tara is fricking awful. Worst character on the show by a country mile. She cannot die fast enough.
2. I literally laughed out loud at Coral tough-walking with the gas can. First, he does not pull off the tough guy at all. Second, the gas can just calls further attention to the gasoline issue that won't go away.
3. I'll give some leeway to the Judith issue. Because of the nature of filming, kids on the show age too fast (see Coral).
4. Not sure why they hate glass so much, but I was laughing. I felt like they needed a shot of Navin running around inside of Sanctuary: "Get away from the glass. They hate the glass. Get away from the glass!"

Random side note, did anyone else notice Maggie's accent go all goofy during the big speech? Andrew Lincoln had some accent goofiness late in the episode, too. I have kind of gotten used to his over the years, but my wife, who doesn't follow the show, pointed it out randomly.

People have been watching this show for 7 years, because obviously it was great at one point.
If you don't like to see people complaining about this show then maybe you should avoid the weekly Walking Dead threads, which would be more realistic than anyone with a negative opinion not posting.

Sorry for not being a complete fanboy. I like the show, but it definitely has faults. Like all shows, some episodes are better than others. This episode was not one of the better ones. It's a shame that they built up episode 100 so much for that.

No clue why they wouldn't have left but then created a perimter or something around the facility to take out Saviors if they were on the run from the zombies infiltrating their compound.
Just not sure why you'd assume they're all dead now when Negan was known to be alive when they fled. If they could flee, then Negan could as well.

I realize it's becoming sort of the cool thing to knock the show but as is obvious by TTD after show, there are still tons of folks who love it. I mean, what other show has a 2-hour show following it just as a wrap-up? Though there are certainly haters, TWD is still supremely popular.

It's funny because I basically agree with most of the stuff posted. I hate watch this show, and basically every complaint lodged, I have the same complaint.
But I make the complaint in passing once to my wife as it's happening, and then I just forget about it and move on.
If I'm going to keep watching, even if it's hate watching, I'm not going to let all that stuff bother me. I just accept it and move on.
And fwiw, all the writing quirks aside(there were quite a few), I really liked the general direction of the first episode.

FWIW, I wasn’t saying that the complaints are illegitimate, and I agree with some of them, I’m just sick and tired of reading them here.. these threads used to have a shitton of good, serious discussion, now it’s all sandwiched in between countless posts that are bashing the show

It's just like that on Facebook as well. People needing attention (no different than here) by letting everyone know how much this extremely popular show sucks and how they are above being a fan of it...yet have been watching for 8 years without fail.
