So your speculation is misandry? But not politically motivated misandry?
Most of the left is so fricking sexist they don’t even know they’re misandrists.
It’s not just in fantasy crap like this. Have you seen Vikings and some other shows like that? They constantly show Viking women on the front lines with men chopping up the enemy. There’s no evidence this ever happened. If it did ever happen it was so rare that it’s not even worth mentioning. Women aren’t warriors. Women have never been warriors and they never will be warriors. It’s just not a thing. Not now, not ever.
But I bet if you asked most of Hollywood and most people who have grown up watching movies and tv the past 10-15 years they’d say that female soldiers in war is a normal thing. You’d have to be completely ignorant of very basic history to think otherwise. Which honestly, most of America, especially “educated” America is.

Wizards of the Coast and Hasbro were already up shite creek.
For those who don't know, WOTC recently tried to strong arm 3rd party publishers into signing a lopsided license agreement. The entire community jumped ship and WOTC was forced to backtrack.
They lost a shite ton of subscriptions costing them at least $240,000 a month for their frick up. They were banking on a good box office showing to save their arse but tons of people were already planning to boycott the movie before this wokeness came to light.
All this in the middle of trying to convince players to switch to a new edition next year and move to an online micro-transaction based D&D game.
Hasbro stock is already down over 37% over the last year and D&D is their 2nd most profitable product. They hired former Microsoft CEO with the goal of doubling profits over the next few years and then all this shite happened.
Heads are probably going to roll over this and books written about how to frick up an incredibly profitable business through corporate greed and incompetence.

So a series that already had strong and powerful women wasn’t enough. They needed to also emasculate the men.

If I was the money behind this movie, I might sue these turds for intentionally sabotaging my product.
Hasbro and WotC already did that with the OGL controversy a month or so ago.

Will wait. I have decent hopes.
For a movie written by the team that brought you the Vacation reboot? Why?

My god, what pajama wearing soyboy was the one who downvoted this?
These people are literally coming right out and telling you this is what they're doing.
Just like Disney's 'not so secret gay agenda'. The writers of She Hulk making a garbage series, KNOWING it would be hated by the fanbase, and then laughing about it.
Or psycho Mindy Kaling inserted herself as Velma, and not holding anything back with her overt racism. Because she's protected.
Don't forget Taika 'I'll ruin your mythos in a minute, baby!' Waititi.
Race swapped Ariel, Snow White, Peter Pan (and Tinkerbell), etc...
It's never ending.
Can't wait to not see this less funny version of 'Legend of Vox Machina'

We also love emasculating leading men.
Actually doing women a disservice, if you have to come out and say it's not enough to have them be Xena like and such. Nope. Easy as pie to put a different spin on it, say you're showing both men and women are more than narrow stereotypes. Far better ways to upsell the characters than boasting about nerfing the men to make the women SEEM better.
John Francis Daley has been doing decent stuff since Freaks and Geeks, then on BONES. Don't know why he felt the need to tank his project before it even comes out. What a buffoon.

He made one of the only good mainstream comedies released in the past decade. And he made the males idiots in it.

'emasculated' the leading men in the film and put the women on the front lines

I'm a fan of how the writers KNOW they're gonna catch shite for all this and address it with some meta statement IN the movie.
Did you catch that in the Peter Pan trailer were Michael (the little boy) asks, "Peter Pan?!?" and Dark Peter respondes, "Were you expecting someone else?"
He's not responding just to Michael, but to anyone who would dare question the casting. It's She-hulk level trolling of fans.
It's such a strange time to live...watching creators OPENLY engage in disliking the very fans they need/want to pay to see their creations.

It's been going on for years. It's so absurd and ridiculous that those not paying attention were quick to claim it was all in our head. We're falling prey to 'grifters' and that was the end of the discussion.
Now we have all these writers and actors outright admitting it.
It's a long list. Anyone still denying it probably voted for Biden.

The trailer seems to indicate that the most competent person on their team is a man (the paladin). He knows how the dungeon operates, is badass in a fight, etc. Literally the only thing negative about him is that he seems too serious.
This feels more like Chris Pine is just willing to be the comic relief.

They know something about being great writers, making millions while directing movies and having attractive partners. And would probably appreciate the comedic soy boy dig.

It is a DnD party... The bard and the wizard are not going to be tanks. The druid, the barbarian, and the paladin are.

Your side, presumably being the Deep South, which has less money, less intelligence, and more obesity than every other part of the country (I’ll get downvoted but these are straight statistics. Facts over feelings unless I don’t like the facts).
I don’t like your chances.

That's unfortunate. I was excited about this.
