Nielsen data is out

Nielsen is generally seen as the most reliable source for viewership figures, and data for The Acolyte suggests the show is doing reasonably well. Here's how the premieres compare to other live-action Star Wars Disney+ TV shows (data not available for The Mandalorian season 1):
The Acolyte's viewership is apparently lower than any other show bar Andor. Now, it's worth stressing that doesn't mean The Acolyte is a failure; Lucasfilm has already commissioned Andor season 2, proving 208 million is fine. It does, however, reinforce the sense that Star Wars is associated with major established brands. The Mandalorian is essentially Disney+'s flagship show, Obi-Wan Kenobi featured the return of Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen, and even Ahsoka was really a live-action Star Wars Rebels season 5. The Acolyte lacks that pre-established draw, clearly so important for Star Wars.

It's criminal that Andor is the least watched. Luthen's speech and the whole prison arc are incredible TV. It started slow, but the last nine episodes were great.

I've been watching Snarky Jay she's slamming it like Nerd and CD. But is much better to look at.
Reminds me of Aubry Plaza.

This show is only 8 episodes of 30 mins.
As far as history of TV seasons go, it's on the shorter end.
And yet they keep having these scenes that drag things out that seem to be just for padding the run time.
If you didn't have an interesting story to tell then just don't tell it to begin with.
There's only 2 episodes to go and I feel like barely any story has been told so far.

This is just proving more and more that Star Wars content not involving Tony Gilroy is going to be guaranteed crap.
We are 1 episode behind, the lightsaber fighting was amazing but this show is still super boring.

I was shocked at how many people they killed in that episode, but the characters are so uninteresting I don't think it's going to make much of a difference. They are holding up this big secret with Sol but I honestly don't care. I imagine he intentionally started the stone fire.

They'll probably keep it around because it ended up the only Disney show in the top 10.

That has nothing to do with it and everything to do with the writing and show itself. If it was good, more people would watch.

Apparently Star Wars doesn't drive subscriptions.

Andor proves otherwise.

What? Andor is an incredible show and won several awards.
You politards are really going out of your way to avoid good shows

damn crazy how many people were able to review this a 1 without watching it.
they must have used the Force to watch it earlier in their mind.

I gotta say, a wookie jedi dinking around the forest with a metal detector was not on my bingo card.
