Pretty bad casting choice
Most girls look worse when they don’t brush their hair and have a constant resting bitch face. She could have leveled up Bigly with minimal effort but that’s exactly the look Gunn wanted.

I was surprised when they cast her. I know the current trend is to go away from "pretty" actresses (I think the term is to say "she's a real person), but it doesn't work with comic book superheroes. Comics are usually stylized, and most heroes are drawn as exceptionally attractive people. Superhero physique, etc. If you go counter to that, it doesn't usually work well.

Female led superhero movies not named Wonder Woman just do not resonate especially when she has a male counterpart with the exact same abilities. It was a dumb decision to make this movie to begin with. Supergirl should be a supporting character nothing more. Hey let’s double down and make a Hawk Girl movie.

Honestly, the only reason I contemplated seeing it was to see Lobo, but then read what little screentime he got and decided against it.
At this point I'm more likely to see a Krypto movie.
I just don't get making another "Superfamily" movie. So many great characters, and if you wanted a female lead, the most obvious choice was Wonder Woman, but as I said before - if they wanted to give time before recasting WW there are some really cool female characters that are fan favorites. Not as well known publicly, but with a good story and good casting could easily be bankable.

The only reason Captain Marvel made a billion was because Feige was smart enough to tease it at the end of Infinity War and then release it a month before Endgame.
They tied her into the overall arching plot with Thanos, and it made people think Captain Marvel was required viewing before Endgame. So males went and saw it in theaters as prep.
Otherwise, look at the absolute putrid bombs of The Marvels and now Supergirl. Nobody and I mean nobody, wants to see these films where it’s C list girl superheroes

TBH, I think that Tigerdroppings is the only reason why I knew that this abortion of a movie existed.
