I understand that reading is hard...but I was literally quoting the Film Buzzr image that I posted. I was contrasting it with the actual numbers shown comparing the 2 movies in the image below that. I was not saying that it was an actual expectation for anyone other than the delusional.

They made the wrong movie about her. They should have done the origin story. How she also escaped Krypton and was sent to look over Kal El since he was an infant, but her ship went off course for about 30 years and she was in stasis until she landed on Earth and Superman found her and was surprised and emotional about knowing that there was another survivor of Krypton.
Then place her with the Danvers or in an orphanage and have Bruce use his computer skills to give her a birth certificate etc. and some documents proving her existence and or adoption or foster ship by the Danvers.
They you make it about her landing on Earth and discovering what it's like to be an alien with powers and fitting in on Earth as a teenage girl with these powers.
Plop in a great DC villain or even Lex Luthor who becomes enraged about the existence of a Supergirl.
It would have been a great movie like PG or PG-13 with wide appeal that attracts families and superhero comic book movie fans and comic book nerds. It would have been Girl Power with wide appeal.
I also thought the casting was fine. I don't know if a drop dead gorgeous Supergirl works.
