Maybe next time she won’t say retarded things?

How many times have movies lost money because women couldn’t stop saying stupid stuff?

Pretty bad casting choice. Bad looking script. And bad choice of Supergirl storylines.

All of this. Lead saying dumb shite likely had little impact.

FYI, 1984's Supergirl brought in around $45 million ($14.5 million adjusted for inflation).

The marketing was there, Supergirl fingerprints were all over the NBA Finals and Stanley Cup playoffs, but there was just no interest in characters like these.

I watched this two weeks ago when it *ahem* found its way to the internet, and it was incredibly mediocre.

Living rent free in your head. The movie looks like arse and you couldn't pay me to see it. Nice try though.

Bad script.

quote:

“Everybody wanted to make the movie. It was greenlit, ready to go,” the Superman director said. “The screenplay wasn’t ready. And I couldn’t do a movie where the screenplay’s not good.”

Gunn added, “And we’ve been really lucky so far, because Supergirl’s script was so fricking good off the bat.

Everything I've seen from James Gunn is like MadLibs. It's the same sarcasm-irony-faux airhead mix of action and humor every time. It was a fun novelty once, maybe twice... but at some point, I have to feel like his schtick gets tiresome. The actress will be the one to shoulder this, probably, but Gunn - like Taika whatever - is an act that isn't conducive to many storylines. It's amazing DC put him in charge, really.

You're the one who decided to mention me in one of your tard rants and chose to lie about what I have and haven't said. I'm merely returning the favor.

Someone made the comment the other day Gunn was a Marvel plant, and I swear it’s not out of the realm of possibility when you see some of his decisions and quotes

Should have cast Sydney Sweeney in the lead role.

I saw it recently and thought it was a generic comic book film. Not terrible, but completely forgettable. Audiences were just not interested in this character. We've discussed this a lot, Hollywood execs continue making the mistake thinking that women will show up in large numbers simply because it's a female superhero. They won't. You still need male audiences to be successful.

Ahh yes a two sentence long post laughing at the clowns in The Odyssey threads is really a rant

You admittedly haven't seen the movie and have posted in the threads non stop making sure everyone knows that people who simply enjoyed the movie are as bad as people actively trying to get others to hate it because they are miserable. I was laughing at you because you sound like a retard every time you post in an Odyssey thread and are obsessed with it despite not having even seen it. You're weird, that's not a lie.

But I look forward to you following me around in other threads like a little puppy like you've been doing. It's comical.

Then you should quote me and respond to something I've actually said instead of lying. You felt the need to do so, I responded. Don't be a stupid twat and lie about me and I won't call it out.

Wow. That is abysmal. Who should we blame? The studio? Gunn? Supergirl? I re-watched Gunn's Superman last week. After a second viewing, I thought it was actually worse than the first time.
