Lord this show is worse than even my low expectations expected.

They should have called it Starfleet: Reddit

I can't understand how anyone with authority gives this crap the green light. Couldn't they just set piles of cash on fire to be more efficient at wasting money?

Nice Picard reference to Shakespeare, but honestly, there are plenty of quotes from Star Trek and the subsequent movies. Just shows the respect and care shown in the proper era of Star Trek and how bad it's fallen in current day.

So this is nothing like SNW? I liked that show ok and was hoping this would be similar. So this is set way in the future? From the comments sounds like the consensus is that it’s not just woke but has shitty writing also.

Aside from the flamboyant Klingon, I think woke is the least of this shows problems.

The writing is horrendously bad.

Also, not a single masculine character in the entire show.

Not one.

Should’ve been called

“Starfleet Acolyte”

That's probably the best re-name I've seen. Kudos!

Tatiana's kid, whatever, is a bit of a Gary Sue. Stealing com badges at like 6? Now a master programmer / hacker by 21 - 22? OK.

Lets not forget the kid did have any formal education. Must have a sweet curriculum at the school of hard knocks.

I know its been referenced, but the dialog. Good lord. Payback is a bitch. Blow it out of your arse. Really?

This is not Star Trek. It is a Sci fi series using Star Trek's name to hook people in. Its closer to Star Wars.

Can we talk about how the bad guys wanted to steal some stuff and SFA decided they deserved to be blown to bits?

Are sure he’s not related to Rey Palpatine?

Just thought of something, forgive me if already discussed. . .

Why is dude stealing food in a universe with replicators?

Wouldn't food be pretty much worthless as a commodity?

Great point. Wasnt that a major point of the federation? No one is ever hungry or wants for food or water. Both kirk and picard mention it many times. I'm sure others did too. This is 1000 years past so tech should be that much better. And was that the first time we saw glasses in Trek? Other than Kirk in V: Final Frontier. But again we are so far in future...

Didn't Picard explain there was some procedure that eliminated the need for glasses in TNG?

Looked it up, it is Retinax

Kirk was allergic to Retinax. Which is why Bones gave him the glasses.

Picard, it was said, was also allergic to Retinax, but we didn't see him wearing glasses.
