**Summary of the YouTube clip:**

The video, titled **"NOT IRAQ 2.0: The 118-Year Empire Trump Just Ended"**, is a ~15-16 minute analysis/commentary piece uploaded on February 28, 2026, by the channel **Promethean Updates** (associated with Promethean Action and featuring analyst Barbara Boyd).

**Main argument:**
Boyd contends that the ongoing U.S.-Israeli military strikes against Iran (referred to as **Operation Epic Fury**, announced by President Trump) are being wrongly portrayed by media as "Iraq 2.0" or a full regime-change occupation war. Instead, she frames them as a targeted, limited operation to neutralize Iran's nuclear and missile capabilities, end a 118-year British-centered financial/imperial control over Iran (dating back to the 1908 Anglo-Persian oil concession that birthed BP), and enable regional peace.

**Key points covered:**
- Trump's direct message to Iranians: He reportedly urged them to "take over your government" once the strikes conclude, positioning it as liberation/self-determination rather than U.S.-imposed puppet rule (contrasting with post-2003 Iraq chaos).
- JD Vance's assurance: Explicitly states there's "no chance" of a prolonged, years-long Middle East war.
- Historical context: Iran has functioned as a tool of British financial interests since 1908 (oil rights granted to William Knox D'Arcy), reinforced by the 1953 CIA-British coup against Mossadegh (reinstalling the Shah) and the 1979 Khomeini revolution (portrayed as replacing one controlled regime with another tied to Muslim Brotherhood ideology).
- Trump's broader strategy: Dismantling this system through the Abraham Accords, redirecting trillions in Gulf investments to U.S. infrastructure, the "Board of Peace" (economic development focus), designating the Muslim Brotherhood as terrorists, and rebuilding Gaza — with Iran as the final blocking element via proxies, nuclear pursuit, and threats to the Strait of Hormuz.
- Media critique: Outlets like the New York Times are accused of contradictory coverage (acknowledging Iran's threats while calling Trump reckless).
- Current situation: Escalating retaliatory strikes are happening, but the operation is presented as short, decisive, and aimed at enabling a "border of peace" in the Gulf rather than endless occupation.

**Overall tone and purpose:**
It's a pro-Trump, anti-British-empire-analysis video (a recurring theme in this channel's content), urging viewers to see the strikes as ending long-standing geopolitical manipulation rather than starting another quagmire.
And extra points for continuing to find unique kills. This one has some flair for sure. They threw in all the fun callbacks from the previous movies while expanding on them. Just a really solid script, but again, the reveal was…well it didn’t really make a whole lot of sense. So the neighbor was so much of a fanatic of Sydney that she wanted to continue her role as the final girl, but she also killed her husband and then also wanted to kill Sydney and her kid and husband but also loved her to the point of moving in next to her. And then some rando dude at a psych ward who befriended other psychos and hatched a plan to kill Sydney? I’ll have to rewatch it to her their little speech because I didn’t quite understand their motivations. Also, I’m fairly certain they used an ai song for the soundtrack during credits roll.

Also, the trailer for the new scary movie was hilarious

Agreed, I loved it. The reveal was dumb but everything leading up to it was stellar. Kevin Williamson proves once again that he is Scream.
Who wants to bet they learned this from that gap toothed lady from Georgia. Didn’t she get like a billion dollars?
It’s already happening in Texas and governor abbot is facilitating that daily. It’s only local levers of power, by that I mean, the cities of those affected that are fighting against this.
True, makes even less sense unless the RINOs don’t really want to fix anything, only to placate the base and fooling them into thinking they do. This is nationalism vs globalism on display. We are still tearing out the roots of the Bush.
They are terrified of removing filibuster. They are frightened children.
take your CIA talking points and shove them up your arse. Always the same 5 folks spreading this kind of bs.
Why? Corporations just passed the tariffs onto the consumer. Why would they get that money back?

What’s the plan? Let the Iranian government kill the youth then go in with the Air Force and kill the Iranian leadership in one decisive action? Seems like what’s going on is the same thing we saw in world war 1. A whole generation of young fighters killed. 100k even isn’t close to the numbers seen in ww1 but still. Or is it a miscalculation by Trump I’m thinking the Iranian government would halt the killing of their own citizens from pressure by the United States?
Or they were in on it. Ever been to Omaha? Their fingerprints are all over the city. They were as thick as thieves together.
Yes, I like Vance but outside of some interviews and memes there isn’t a single thing he can hang his hat on. Rubio however has multiple feathers in his cap from his time as Secretary of State as well as seeing the dismantling of USAID among many many more things. The fact he’s Hispanic is also a major major factor in securing the popular vote again. He can share core stories about Venezuela and his Cuban roots. It’s just a massive win and Vance will surely shore up Ohio be staying as vice president.
Why would you sip soup that has the flu?

Again, you said he hasn’t done anything as Secretary of State. I asked you to back up that claim. You responded with ChatGPT gobbedly asian. You said it’s only been his underlings. You have not proved your claim.
