re: Star Trek SNW: The Puppet Episode Finally Dropped. What a hot mess

You know, I went to the Star Trek con in Vegas. They had a panel on starfleet academy and it was quite sparsely attended. No shock there as the show is terrible, but what was shocking was the approach by the actors. When asked by fans if they had seen Star Trek once getting the role, the actors glibly responded “I scanned a few episodes, sure” or when asked about the making of certain episodes the actors responded “we were kind of winging it with scene to scene”…
Contrast that to DS9 and TNG and Voyager, and every line was meticulously adhered to. There was no ad libbing. There was no improv. The creators’ vision was paramount and cared for, nurtured like a baby fern.
So after hearing the responses from the actors…well I’m not surprised the Kurtzman era of trek was so bad. Thankfully it was equally shunned by fans as well.

I thought they canceled it?
the only good thing he's ever done was destroy Nikki Haley's political career.

You’re retarded. A simple post history would clear that up. But this place is a haven of Louisiana minds.
Probably one of the most heartbreaking endings of all time. Tremendously acted by Yelich.

I’m not a liberal frickhead. But I can see that Trump considers the project a rousing success. I can also see how he will not challenge fauci’s autopen pardon. He says one thing, but his actions are clearly different.
I didn’t get the vax you stupid count. But I do feel for those who did thanks to his project warp speed you pathetic little shite.

He still talks about how great of a success it was even after posting covid.gov
Seriously man, he thinks it was a stellar outing on his part and that he saved lives.

You forgot to mention Trump thumps his chest at “project warp speed” and the vax that was forced down our throats. That frick actually thinks he saved lives by giving us this.
Why is she dressed like she’s in starfleet?

That’s because it is. Everything looks so dim and tan. The film has wooden acting and absolutely looks like shite.
That's my point from the beginning. Why does modernity mean taking out the physical nature of the Gods?
no, she's a vision. and yes, in part, but in the story, they are physically depicted, speak, etc.
Yes he does, they are not physically depicted at all.

What I don’t understand, his point mainly, of if you’re making it “modern” why take out the gods? Does modernity mean no religion?
None of the gods are seen or heard. They are wiped out nearly entirely. The story is quite different. Why make that change unless you hate religion in all forms?

It's really quite good. It's definitely not as mean spirited as The Exorcist. You are missing out.
