There were some good laughs this season,

I nominate this gem as line of the season:

Judy to BJ:

“Who got dang Beej…watching you work that pole’s got me slick, gotta start finger-dancing on my snapdragz, talkin’ about clitty cat”

As usual these folks just had to keep putting too much gay in. It’s awful and not funny.

It was also weird because the characters went full effeminate in mannerisms, but unlike In Living Color it was played closer to being normal and not to be funny (or maybe the not funny was the end result of being scared to make their effeminate mannerisms funny). If you go the effeminate route you go full 2 snaps and around the world with it for laughs. You can’t PC it.

*Spoiler*

The very last scene would have been awesome if Corey's ex-wife would have popped up from inside the boat's cabin after Ms. Lori's speech.

Season finale was fine in my opinion (besides missing out on more Baby Bill + letting the Nanny character do something really bizarre).

Every season had a wild Scooby Doo villain ending in the Finale. So this was in line.

Leaves it open for a movie in a few years.

The season 3 finale is where it should have ended but I did think the final scene beginning with kelvin and Keefe’s wedding was great.

I also thought the first episode of the season was incredible and I was waiting for Corey to have his come to Jesus moment like Bradley Cooper.

BU and Judy taking the striped pole down was funny as hell. Baby Billy underated line to Eli “ Lori didnt show? Guess it was just to weird being her dead X wanted to use us as sex slaves and kill us.”

Season 3 was a much better show finale, The difference was likely they didn’t know if they were gonna get another season so they made sure season 3 went out well. Season 4 seems like an after thought, but still watchable,

Yeah weak ending, but as a whole no complaints. Two all-time great characters with Judy and Baby Billy, kept me engaged the whole time. Not many shows these days do that.

I think this particular brand of 'random, over the top, bizarre, crass dialogue/joke/comeback kenny powers style' has run its course for me. Someone said earlier--but its better in smaller doses. The subject of the show definitely needed a good comedic light shed on it, but i think it was poorly executed overall. Certainly some really funny moments in seasons 1-3. 4 was junk.

There was no pay off for Gideons storyline. it's yet another reason why Season 4 being the last was stupid, there was a storyline building there but there wasn't enough time to cover it. Disappointing.

After this I thought it was going to be a banger of a season. Never really materialized. Still a decent watch

Glad others on the board admit this season was terrible. It couldn’t be more obvious the season was way weaker than previous years. Felt like I laughed at about 2 scenes this entire season, it’s almost shocking how bad they handled this season.

As many have stated on here: the season 4 finale would have been a great ending to the series.

It wasn’t good.

Had its moment and made me laugh, 80% of them involved BJ

That was so well delivered

"I guess her husband trying to rape and murder us, and then your kids killing her kid.... that was just a bridge too far"

This last episode was very off… from concept, writing, directing, editing, pacing, and even acting.

Like everything was just 20% shifted off center.

Not just a bad finale, but I think one of the worst episodes of the series. And I love this show.

As everyone else said this season was not very good and the finale was pretty weak. It was definitely rushed and the story was kinda all over the place. Characters were becoming so exaggerated it was no longer funny.

The Kelvin storyline was always the weakest but this season felt like they weren't trying to be funny. More about gay acceptance?

Several storylines they just seemed to give up on and quickly wrapped up in an unsatisfying way: Simkins and capes and pistols, Teenjus, Stiffler, etc.

Then some storylines just went nowhere: Nanny, Pontius, Gideon

Season 4 was weaker than the previous seasons, but I'll overlook that since it gave us Teenjus and the banger "Turn the Other Cheek."

It was very funny when Kelvin would do all these weird gay things like his God Squad/Muscle Men, and it was questionable if he was gay or straight. The joke being that some youth pastors come off as gay or very effeminate.

Once he was full on gay the jokes went from funny situational innuendo to just trying to be over the top with a weird shock value to try and get laughs. It just doesn't work nearly as good.

Solid enough finale. The opening scene was great. Glad Baby Billy lived after all. Keefs parents at the end had me cracking up

Was that the first time we've seen Keefe's family?

Had the exact same thought.

"Doesn't-realize-he-might-be-gay" Mac on Always Sunny was funnier than Gay Mac.
