Aspiring for .500 in a tough Conference in a P4 would bring more Alumni Attention and Money to Tulane Football than making light work of Florida Atlantic, Charlotte, and Temple come November.
Look at how Tulane Fans turned out for an opponent like USC in the Cotton Bowl.
They would all absolutely embrace a much harder challenge today to be able to know they are guaranteed a chance at getting to measure themselves against the best tomorrow.
Since 2022: Tulane has beat the Big 12 Champs (KSU in 2022) and ACC Champs (Duke in 2025).

Every G6 underclassmen player being courted by a P4 team would still opt out of this dogshit proposal.
Subpar and Mid P4 programs’ Fans are cheering for this to make sure that they are 1 of 62 teams ever fighting for 12 spots.
They want their place at the big table never threatened and knowing they won’t ever win their conference but hopes to get the #11 or #12 At-Large spot one year.
Cheers to both Tulane and JMU playing their rears off tomorrow to show everyone that the margins aren’t that far apart.
