Joker: Folie à Deux is a bold, daring and mesmerizing masterpiece. Joaquin Phoenix continues to amaze as Arthur Fleck while Lady Gaga delivers the best performance of her career thus far as Harley Quinn. Todd Phillips has truly upped the ante in almost every way with this sequel including the musical elements, which are brilliantly executed. Joker: Folie à Deux is the film of the year and will spark a lot of conversation and debate going into award season. #JokerFolieADeux    #Venezia81

After watching #JokerFolieADeux   , I needed some time to process. It wasn't what I expected, but in the best way possible. Todd Phillips and Scott Silver took a bold creative leap. The film feels like an indie / arthouse film in a lot of ways that's. Joker 2 is partcially a mix of a prison and courtroom drama, blended w/ a musical. It's dark and intense.

I did expect outstanding performances, and Joker: Folie À Deux delivered. @ladygaga is flawless, and Joaquin Phoenix shines with his nuanced brilliance. He set the bar high in the first film and exceeded it in this one.

What a perfomance! What a Story! What a Beauty! What a movie!

Lady Gaga and Jaoquin Phoenix Nailed it.
Todd Phillips once again prove that he is the best of the best.

#JokerFolieADeux    deserve everything!
What more can i say?? #Joker2    is easily MOVIE OF THE YEAR. #venezia81

Lady Gaga is a revelation in #Joker2   , a bold musical that further deconstructs the infamous Batman villain. Here's our review.

mediocre

Despite the best efforts of Joaquin Phoenix, Lady Gaga, and an opening hour set in Arkham Asylum, Joker: Folie à Deux wastes its potential as a movie musical, a courtroom drama, and a sequel that has anything meaningful to say about or add to the first Joker.

REVIEW: The premise of #JokerFolieADeux    is an audacious concept. It’s one that demands an audacious execution. And for the most part, that doesn’t happen in the film.

Joker: Folie à Deux feels like it’s bad on purpose. A fascinatingly lifeless troll of a movie designed to anger fans and bore everyone else. Its complete waste of Lady Gaga is worse than any of Joker’s crimes.

I have thought about #JokerFolieADeux almost nonstop since I saw it a few weeks ago. It's NOT the sequel you expect, and I deeply admire it for flying in the face of expectation. You won't enjoy this oppressive movie. But you have to see it. Here's why:

They’re finally realizing these movies are labeled “Joker” simply to draw an audience and actually have nothing to do with the Joker character everyone knows.

Sounds like Todd should stick to directing comedies.

Hard to take anything with Lady Gaga in it, seriously.

He tried milking The Hangover too and those sequels were also terrible.

Who gives a shite? At least it was an attempt to be creative. I loved Phoenix's portrayal and the movie overall. Do we really need yet another Joker from muh comic books?

I’ve never read comic books, but if you’re going to use a well established character as the center piece of your movie, stay faithful to the character and don’t go completely rogue. We’ve shat on the Disney Star Wars directors for the same thing.

We’ve had 4 different live action jokers in 15 years. I’m sure we will get another with Gunn’s universe. Is it so bad that one breaks the mold?
