Since Bond should be a code name, I completely understand this.

"We aren't really making a Bond film anymore. We are making something different with different tropes. It's just that the Bond name is so popular, it's important that we not only use that name and character instead, but erase its more traditional values."

Everyone knows that it's time for the Bond franchise to die off.
Between the Salami family and Craig, (who has been on a raging woke SJW mission since day one) the franchise has been ruined.
Everyone has been lining up to replace it, knowing it was coming. Mission Impossible, Kingsmen, etc. Somewhere I heard they're even bringing Flint back. Who else? I know there are some others.
Bond is dead for all practical purposes. Should have happened five years ago. Ian Flemming would have insisted he be killed off long ago. Bond was never meant to be part of today's shite show of a #metoo world dictated-to by snot nosed actors and actresses living in a warless globalist big corporation controlled world. He was too old school for this nonsense.
