People are hypercritical.
It’s hilarious when people say “oh that movie could never get made today” to ahit on the woke police, but These are the same people who would shred the Original Trilogy if it came out today. There is a lot of silliness and plot holes in the OT that we not only accept but love but people would shite all over in an online echo chamber

Looks really good I'm excited to watch it. Looks like it's going to be really dark which is timeline appropriate for what is going on.
What I'm not excited about is all the whining and complaining that has already started. Whole lot of negativity gets thrown around on this board at every single Star Wars show.

That show had two of the most famous characters in movie/tv history and it looks like it had 1/10 the budget of Andor, a relatively new character
This, on the other hand, could work very well. Andor is relatively new, but conceptually his role isn't. He's the guy in the shadows, working against the Empire.
I'm curious how far they will take this... he honestly should be a cold, ruthless SOB. Remember he killed his contact to prevent him from being captured, and was sent to assassinate Galen Erso (not capture or rescue him). That Rebel general expected him to do so, while sitting next to Galen's daughter.
If you want to project backwards from that movie, that would suggest Andor doesn't have a history of mercy or hesitation. This should not be a kid show.

Too much of a good thing, it's the marvel treatment. If you miss one or two its almost too exhausting to even try and keep up.

Rogue One is top 4 Star Wars for me. But it's a hard pass on this. Although they did seem to do pretty good with the casting.
