Correct. But that, combined with a good recruiting track record and success as a coordinator in the SEC and the the fact he was a GA alum all played a role. The point stands that if he had no experience, they would not have offered him simply because he was a GA alum.

I guess you're right. The fact he came from Nick Saban's coaching tree and proved success as a coordinator while learning from Nick didn't have anything to do with it I'm sure.
