Is this the long awaited background story of the Rogue Ones characters? What we been waiting decades for?

People don't tire of saturation when the content is GOOD. They get sick of it when it SUCKS. Studios struggle to consistently crank out good content when they have to put out too MUCH content too fast or go progressively WOKE. They can only keep it up for so long before it falls apart.
True, but consider the original MCU run.

It wasn’t something every 2-3 months.

Each movie was an event unto itself.

Now, you have some new series every few months.

I get why it is that way. Disney has to constantly produce or people will drop D+, and I think that will ultimately implode a good bit of fan support.

Why do you all keep falling for this over and over? At some point you have to ask yourself if you’re just retarded?

I really thought Andor (no, not Endor) was referring to a planet at first. Had no idea it was referring to one of the many forgettable characters in RO. Agreed, I just don’t care about him.

Can’t wait for the ole Kathleen Kennedy “subverting expectations” switcharoo.

You just thought a show named Andor was going to be about Cassian Andor….but really it’s about his female enemy who needs at least 50% of the screen time.

Am I the only one that wishes the empire would just blow these rebel fricks up?

I hate disorder and the rebels are dirty and probably don’t pay their taxes.

“Tony has written a great, scurrilous [take] on the Trumpian world,” says Fiona Shaw, who plays Maarva in the series. “Our world is exploding in different places right now, people’s rights are disappearing, and Andor reflects that. [In the show] the Empire is taking over, and it feels like the same thing is happening in reality, too.” Set in the five years running up to Rogue One, the series will expand upon Luna’s not exactly clean-cut hero (Cassian Andor began that film by shooting his own informant), and the efforts undertaken by the rising rebels to fight back against Palpatine’s regime. “I was impressed by Tony’s social-realist intentions,” Shaw continues. “He’s created a whole new morality. It’s very deep and humane – there is grief, mourning, hope, fear. It’s not just primary colours here.”
