They should have named his character Fletcher just for fun. I love Statham’s movies.

Jason Stathum has made a helluva career off of action movies where he'll never win an Oscar but I bet that he lives pretty well and his fans don't give a shite. Just give us his next movie where he's the same character in a different role (kind of like Ryan Reynolds). We're okay with that.

He's had quite a run. Everyone involved in making Jason Staham movies knows the formula for the story, and for keeping a modest budget, and the audience, especially in the age of streaming, is guaranteed.

I admit I would love him get more chances to flex his acting chops though. He was great in Snatch, and he has zero action scenes in that.

Action version of Adam Sandler, laughing all the way to the bank. I usually just want to be entertained for a couple of hours and Statham usually does that.

And he can cross over to comedy without missing a beat.

Sandler has tried a few "serious" role, but I just can't buy him as a serious role actor.

I will make it a point to watch anything Statham is in. He is just bankable. His moves are some of the best on screen. He is powerful and fluid to look at while he kicks arse. I keep on finding new movies I've never seen or heard of with Statham. I came across Redemption this past week. About a homeless alcoholic veteran with PTSD who is tracking down the killer of his homeless waif roommate who he shared a box with on the mean streets of London, while flirting with an sexually abused Polish nun and trying to be a better man for his abandoned daughter while working for the Chinese Mob. Yep. It was fricking great.

I need to go and watch Snatch to see the OG Jason Statham.
I haven't watched all his movies, but I did enjoy The Mechanic ?, and Homefront.
I guess I should check out the later movies.

Jason Statham is Jean-Claude Van Damme after three pints and a divorce. And him supporting Tottenham is life imitating art because that’s a seemingly impossible mission every season.

Is Statham a modern day Charles Bronson?

He has a bunch of them that are kind of obscure. Redemption is good, Safe with the little Chinese girl is good, Blitz with Paddy Considine is good. Homefront, Wildcard, A Working Man, etc., etc. I'll watch any of his movies.

I've been watching Scott Adkins movies lately and I think he's criminally underrated. I watched Avengement the other day and that movie kicked arse. Both of the Accident Man movies are entertaining.
