Not necessarily needed to understand it, but Hot Fuzz has so many clever gags throughout the movie that you almost always pick up something new on multiple viewings.
I have probably seen Monty Python and Holy Grail 50+ times and I pick up on something new and funny every time I didn’t pick up from before.
It had probably been 10 years since my last viewing and I watched it with my kid and bunch of jokes made more sense that I didn’t even get in my late 30s.
On a more serious note, Memento, Matrix, Usual Suspects, Oceans 11.

Stuff's hard sometimes, huh?

The Book of Eli is an interesting rewatch once you know the ending

Tenet
Some of the worst sound mixing I've ever heard.
Tenet would also work in a "Movies that require subtitles to actually understand what the hell is going on" thread.

I always get more out of a second viewing.

Tenet was the first movie since childhood where I immediately rewatched it upon my initial viewing.
That is considered torture in some countries

Dune (1984)
What we can say about Nolan here, we can probably also say about Lynch.
So, Mulholland Drive, at a minimum, and certainly more than Dune or Blue Velvet. Twin Peaks is a horse of a different color, of course.

Backdoor Sluts 9
It makes more sense if you watch 3-6. 1,2, and 7-8 were just trash.

The Godfather 2 for me. Just trying to keep up with the characters and their motivations and who they were related to, etc.
Michael’s storyline the most. Vito’s storyline was simple for the most part.

Inherent Vice. Especially confusing if you are unfamiliar with the book. Being high may or may not be helpful.

Identity.
The Usual Suspects is more fun the second time around.

Mulholland Drive
I could probably watch this 20 times and be just as confused as the first time. What a wild movie.

Basic
Basic is so overcomplicated and convoluted and absolutely chock full of plot holes but it's such a guilty pleasure for me. I just find it so watchable.

If you had not read the books before, Lord of the Rings.

An odd addition to this thread. The first time I saw Oh Brother, Where art thou, I just didn’t get it. I know, slow brain, but it was just silly nonsense. It took 3-4 viewings for me to finally see the nuance brilliance. Now it is a must watch a couple times a year for me.
