"Captain America, caught without his wings"

So yeah, it's basically Captain Iron Man, no serum, no super abilities.

That Mach 2 high speed landing by Sam is the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen. They do know that we know he’s not a super soldier right?

He would turn to mush with that landing

Where was that energy for the hundred times Tony Stark would have been liquefied?

All you did here was confirm my argument.

What argument? Aside from a telepathic link to birds that's exactly what Falcon has always been in the comics.

I just don't get why anyone would complain that he'd die from landing too hard or getting hit b/c he has no powers when nobody complained about Tony Stark's Iron Man who would have instantly died the moment his cave made Iron Man suit crashed in the desert.

Thunderbolts Trailer

Honestly, that just looks stupid.

If the best you can tease me with is a slow arse limo pursuit, I'm not hopeful that much else will be worth the watch

One Marvels movie per year released around the holidays is perfect. That’s pretty much how it started. The ramp up to four per year is crazy. And it’s why the interest dropped waaaaayyyy off.

I thought they both looked decent, but I don't have high hopes for CA. Thunderbolts looks like it could be fun.

I want to know what they are doing with Shang-Chi. I liked the first one, and I'm interested in where that story goes. It gets a bad rap sometimes b/c it happened during Covid, but I enjoyed it, especially the fight choreography and having an actor who actually looks like he can fight. Marvel Jackie Chan is something I enjoyed seeing.

I don't understand how a non-super serum Captain is expected to do half the stuff shown in this trailer. On the poster, they have him deflecting a punch from red hulk with the shield. How is that possible?

It's becoming too much.

When you see Hollywood properly through the lens of their religion, progressive politics, then you understand the disregard for consistency within the IP.

They're merely using the carcass of the MCU.

You have to understand the Harrison Ford as Red hulk likely represents "Trump/any Republican" (old white guy with red as "red America"). Recognize that everything flows from that. They don't care about in-world logic when they want to put together political symbolism.

I think the problem was the villain was far more compelling than Shang Chi. That was a very boring performance by Liu. Hopefully they give him a personality on the next one. Simu Liu has also turned out to be a very unlikable person.

do you see the flaw in this mind of thinking as well?

i'm not denying there is a ton of Hollywood movies based around progressive thinking. i do think it is wrong. but most people i know that start looking for that kinda stuff in shows and movies don't end up enjoying the shows/movies. so its one of those self-fulfilling prophecies

He was more interesting earlier in the movie, when it was mostly a martial arts film with a little bit of comic book added-in.

The moment they get into the hidden city it turns into just another big CGI battle with the only difference being this one had Asian themes.

The bus scene is really good, IMHO.
