I just don't get why anyone would complain that he'd die from landing too hard or getting hit b/c he has no powers when nobody complained about Tony Stark's Iron Man who would have instantly died the moment his cave made Iron Man suit crashed in the desert.

I think I had read that he's supposed to be getting a vibranium suit and wings so that he can do stuff like that without getting obliterated.

That makes sense as it's clearly not an Iron Man suit and he's not getting a super soldier serum either.

As far as why Tony didn't die in the desert... they definitely showed his landing way too hard to have at least not been seriously injured.

In the comics the way Iron Man doesn't get wrecked by stuff like that now is through force fields; as he's never stated to have those in the MCU I'm not sure why any of those landings don't, at the MINIMUM, didn't obliterate his knees.

On the poster, they have him deflecting a punch from red hulk with the shield.

In Avengers 1, Cap deflected a hard swing from Thor with Mjolnir with the shield. As Peter once said "that thing doesn't obey the laws of physics at all".

Absolutely. The force goes somewhere. Thor's Hammer or a Hulk punch should flatten either Steve Rogers or Sam Wilson. And, while it made a great moment, the same goes for Steve being able to show resistance to Thanos' grip.

The force gets absorbed by the vibranium shield. Same way BP vibranium suit absorbs kinetic energy and stores it so that it can be released.

That's nonsense physics.

Also nonsense.

It would have been better for the comic book writers to just call both magical items.

It's entertainment not meant to be realistic and can be justified in that way

Its all comic book magic physics, but at least this approach doesn't ignore physics, it just creates tech to overcome the problem, which I'm not mad at. Its like inertial dampers that allow humans to survive infinite G-forces in the Star Trek Universe. This approach is also better than just ignoring physics for some characters while complaining about it for others.

It's a comic book movie. It's all nonsense. They give a rationale to it, and just go with it. It's not meant to be challenged with our known physics. The reader/watcher just accepts it and moves on. If you can't accept it and move on, then comic book movies aren't for you.

So is a living Norse god and radiation turning a human into an enormous rage monster.

All of it is nonsense. There’s a freaking sorcerer. That’s comic books baby.

You have to understand the Harrison Ford as Red hulk likely represents "Trump/any Republican" (old white guy with red as "red America"). Recognize that everything flows from that. They don't care about in-world logic when they want to put together political symbolism.

Is this supposed to be a like a Cracked joke?

General Ross has always been a tight arse shoot first ask questions later dickhead and first became Red Hulk during Obama's first term.
