You mean the movies that came out over 20 years ago and for the most part look better than anything put out these days. This is a bad attempt to troll. I bet you liked rise of the skywalker.

frick no. The sequels were absolute dogshit and I’ll never forgive Lucas for selling the saga to Disney.

Now you’re moving to story arch instead of character and no Vader is not a straight forward character and we don’t just see him at the end. And I didn’t say it wasn’t good so you’re just spiraling now.

I’m talking about Anakin, not Vader. They’re basically different characters.

Fellowship is boring as all hell, and nothing happens
The other two are good, and I can see why those familiar with the series really like them. They are hard to follow if you go watch without having any knowledge going in.

This is the most ignorant take on any film I’ve ever read.

I thought the Shire scene was pretty cool, but other than that I just didn’t get into it. To each their own though.

This sounds like a you problem.
Reading/knowing anything about Middle Earth outside of the movies is by no means a prerequisite, but it DOES enhance it and make it more enjoyable.
That to me is a mark of an amazing fantasy universe. There’s millennia of mythology that Tolkien invented and diving into that is as amazing as any story or movie.

They’re the same person and Vader protects Luke multiple times prior to Luke taking his mask off. It’s Vader who introduced the idea of turning Luke instead of killing him to the emperor.

Well he says he prefers simple but then he plagiarizes Kevin Smith by saying
Sounds simple doesn’t it and he says he prefers that but he doesn’t. He’s made several contradicting claims, he doesn’t seem to have a real position or argument.

Building a case of being overrated and using Star Wars as a comparison is where you you show your hand. Aside from the fanboys, if you go back and watch the Star Wars OT it's pretty mid. Especially the first one. And the LotR trilogy has nothing close to the embarrassment that is the Ewoks. They might as well been walking around with price tags hanging off them like Minnie Pearl's hat they were such an obvious creation by Lucas to sell toys and merchandise.

I rented Fellowship, saw the next two on opening night and didn't read the books until years later. I and most people didn't have any problem understanding the story.
You and the OP just say, "I'm an idiot" and leave it at that

I’ve never read the books and think it’s the greatest film trilogy of all time. Not sure wtf you’re talking about

I’d argue that Star Wars and HP are far more enjoyable to watch because those are simpler stories to follow.
Have you considered the possibility that you’re just dumb?

Go back and watch Mark Hamill's acting in the first one objectively. It's not Mitch from Dazed and Confused bad, but it ain't much better.
