OP very much deserves every downvote he/she is getting.
My favorite part is your argument being that Star Wars and Harry Potter is easier to understand than Lord of the Rings. You make it sound like you have to be an Ivy league professor to understand it.
It's not that complicating.

I'm still legitimately blown away by him being confused as to the plot and thinking you had to read the books to understand.
What kind of no-attention, low IQ scenario are we working with, with OP?

It looks like he plagiarized his critiques evidenced in his quoting Kevin Smith, pretending it was his own.

So was the Fellowship of the Ring dude. Your arguments are mind boggling

Academy Awards focus heavily on individual performances in movies
then why didn't lord of the rings win any awards for individual performances. You got caught trolling and now you're just making excuses while we make fun of you.

Let me say I enjoy all of them but LOTR is by far my favorite
LoTR is superior to them. The only things keeping HP and SW close are nostalgia glasses.

I’m not quoting Randal Graves. I’m using the best and simplest analysis of what the LOTR plot basically is

“Nostalgia” is a subjective term
You can say that the LOTR is the best trilogy, but you also are probably viewing it from nostalgia glasses since all three movies came out 20+ years ago.

1- you did use his quote verbatim.
2- you said you prefer simple then used simple to criticize LOTR
Sorry, you haven’t made a single logical point yet but you have made multiple hypocritical statements

I do prefer simple stories, and the LOTR is anything but a simple story. When did I ever use “simple” to criticize LOTR when it isn’t?

That was me giving a sentence-long summary of what the trilogy is really about while not getting caught up in the weeds of everything else in the story. I’m not saying the story is “simple”. I was giving my own “simple” explanation of the plot.
Posted on 5/2/26 at 7:48 pm to JasonDBlaha
First off you called it the best description of the movies, now you’re claiming it’s just a vague way to avoid describing the movies. 3 guys walking to a volcano over 3 movies is simple regardless of you trying to redefine reality. Again contradictory statements and zero grounding for the things you say.

It’s always hilarious to me that Jason Blaha posts on here and sucks just as badly as a poster as he does a fitness YouTuber
And it’s way too obscure to be a a guy pretending to be Jason Blaha. Who the frick would do that lol?

Whatever dude. All I’m saying is that it’s a very sophisticated plot. And I’m not denying that the SFX and world-building in scenes like the Shire from the first one are spectacular.

I rented Fellowship, saw the next two on opening night and didn't read the books until years later. I and most people didn't have any problem understanding the story. You and the OP just say, "I'm an idiot" and leave it at that
Well, that’s not cool
Listen homey, I saw the first one. It bored me. Watched the sequels 5-6 years later. There was a lot of shite going on. Characters have similar names. All the normal dudes look the same. Cut me some slack, Jack

The Clerks 2 rant is pretty on point with how I feel about Fellowship
