They should throw the bank at C. Nolan to make the next three.

Yes, because what Bond really needs is non-linear storytelling, bad sound mixes, and mumbling.*

Isn’t Christopher Lee a big inspiration for the character of Bond? I’d like to see that interpretation. Find some stories of Christopher Lee working with MI6 and turn that into a film. Start off with him as an actor and incorporate flashbacks of his stories. That’d be a fun way to breathe new life into the character.

Right? It’s not like Craig was slapping girls on the arse. If you think about pop culture as whole right now, Bond is pretty tame when it comes to his morality. If having a one night stand is considered “misogynist” then shut the whole thing down.

“Bond is a dinosaur” is a trope that Bond producers have needlessly wrapped themselves in. How many times do we see a Bond actress say “My character isn’t your typical Bond girl.”?

Wasn't Christopher Lee exposed as lying and embellishing about his war record?

Just make The Man From U.N.C.L.E. 2, call it James Bond and be done with it.

We’re working out where to go with him, we’re talking that through. There isn’t a script and we can’t come up with one until we decide how we’re going to approach the next film because, really, it’s a reinvention of Bond

Translated: We really wanted to go woke and have a tranny Bond, but the only movies making a profit these days are ones that take the woke parts out. So we’re not sure how to write non-woke characters.

Is Hammer even employable, at this point?

I hope this means they are looking to go younger Bond, and cast someone they can keep in the role for a long time.

But, it is Hollywood…

Make it a period piece set during the Cold War in the 60s. “Problem” solved.

The new James Bond - struggles getting PTO approved, meeting girls and staying in shape. Climatic scene is when he’s clearly out of shape and lets villain get away.

He's a good looking, misogynistic, badass spy that wears nice suits, drives cool cars, sleeps with hot women, and kills bad guys trying to control the world. That's the character Ian Fleming created. If you don't want to make a movie about that character, make a movie about a different character.

They want to ride on the coat tails of the "Bond" name since they know an altered character would bomb at the box office.

Casino Royale was one of the best ever, if not the best Bond movie. No, it is simply the best Craig by a lot.
They had a great Bond in Daniel Craig. Again no. See everything that happened after Casino Royal.
Popularity was an all time high. Was it? Higher than the Connery and Moore Bonds?
Then they shite the bed. Yes they did.

This is ominous to me

Bond is a fictional character with specific character traits. He's an intelligent, handsome, British spy who can foil master villains with a mixture of brains and brawn, and is irresistible to gorgeous women.

If you want to "reinvent" the character, that's fine. But if he is anything but that then he is not "James Bond".
