i can be critical of you being hyperbolic in your criticism of movies, but the left starting it is the most accurate statement you can say about the culture war.
their entire premise is "stop making such a big deal about this and just shut up and take it, it's not that bad. and then take the next thing we give you as well."

Here's what I think...
Are people "review bombing" (posting reviews without seeing the movie)? - Absolutely they are.
Would the movie receive horrible reviews if they weren't "review bombing" - I could almost guarantee it.
Watching some of the scenes that have been released...they are hard to watch. "Kiss the Girl" didn't sound as good, and trying to recreate the scene in a live action movie just doesn't work. It isn't cute...it just comes across as weird.
So, without the casting issues that some have...I just don't think this lends itself well to a live action remake.

It's truly mind bottling how much you simp for terrible releases from major studios.
Every time someone starts a thread with a negative opinion about a Disney movie or a political agenda motivated piece of shite like The Woman King, here you are to defend their honor.
If terrible movies were promiscuous women, you'd be Captain SaveAHoe

It’s truly amazing how you think me calling out review bombs is some defense of the movie or show. Like I said brain rot due to culture war causes the inability to find a show or or movie bad while also acknowledging when a review bomb happens

I have zero interest in the film but from what I’ve heard is that while the acting is good the overall film is just ok. This seems to the standard with these live action movies just mediocre remakes without the soul and magic of their animated counterparts. Also they replaced one of the OG songs which seems to be pissing fans off kind of like how they butchered Be Prepared in the remake of Lion King

so? they're introducing a level of complete subjectivity when it comes to "vote weight" that renders any ratings to be absolutely meaningless. movie ratings are already subjective as it is, but at least every vote counts the same, so you get some degree of reality. when subjective votes are also weighted subjectively, you get nothing but mush.
Reality is different depending on who the viewer is. My reality is I'm a male in my 30's and I don't need the opinion of a female in her 70's carrying any weight on a movie that I'm the target audience for. I would prefer to see a rating that's exclusive to just guys my age. And vice versa in other scenarios. I'm not the target audience for Little Mermaid, so who gives a shite what I think about it.

But that's not all they are trying to "screen out," and that is clear.
do you think people who don’t use the internet to buy tickets are somehow more likely to hate a Disney movie?

Yes hide the negative result of idiotic wokeness.

Sure, why not? More likely to be “boomers,” you know?
Why does it matter? It’s an obvious move to protect “some” movies and not integrity of anything. Did they stop the bullshite positive reviews for Black Panther?

"Review bombing" has been going on since at least The Force Awakens.

seems pretty intellectually dishonest that they assume all high ratings are because the movie is good and all the low ratings are because people are racist.
sort of a heads I win, tails you lose situation going here.
Pretty much this
Especially when the studios already put a thumb on the scale in any way possible. Whether it amounts to punishment (such as lost access) for honest media reviews or even buying out websites which rate the movies.

IMDb continues on its FAQ page: “Although we accept and consider all votes received by users, not all votes have the same impact (or ‘weight’) on the final rating.”
Completely unrelated to Little Mermaid, I actually don't mind this. I'm sure a 25 year old male enjoys Fight Club more than a 70 year old female does, for example
I don't find that convincing. Reviews are generally honesty held opinions. They can be unfair or politically influenced opinions but those biases cut more than one way.
20 year old guys don't bother negatively reviewing On Golden Pond or Dowton Abbey because even if they might dislike the movie it doesn't interest them. But it actually is relevant data when people passionately hate something. Often because it was something bad that they wanted to be great (e.g Star Wars).
A negative review probably reflects a person upset that something they hated was something they wanted to love. The studio ideally would take notice and court the disaffected fans back into their fan base.

9 Movies that were review bombed before they even came out
That’s a completely fabricated article. Everybody was stoked for Gunn’s Suicide Squad, tFA had people excited for tLJ, Black Panther was only mocked for the overhype, and Eternals were even more unknown than GotG.
Captain Marvel, Ghostbusters, and PP&W were review bombed but properly so. Captain Marvel wasn’t the worst of the three but Larson did a good job of making it hateable beforehand.

Actually Snyder fans did review bomb any DC movie not made by him. Wasn’t as effective as the others but it did happen
