I will watch any movie that's good. Just because it's all females does not mean it will be good.

Pretty sure she's talking about A-Force which has certainly been rumored for some time now.

Let's hope this is true, different story, different team, different purpose. This would be ok. The Avengers aren't an All-female team.

The A-Force is.

I would watch an All Dames Hero Adventure if it were natural and organic rather than being a sledge hammer of agenda slamming straight to our heads. This is what they don't get. Forcing this shite upon us to make a point is not good movie making. It's pretentious and annoying.

I said in another thread regarding Schitt's Creek how that show is great in large part to it never being an agenda driven narrative even though it's character is gay. Not once have I seen it push any SJW issues nor paint anyone as homophobic. It's strictly a show that happens to have a gay character in it.

If Hollywood would follow this model it would find more success with its all chick casts.

What made that scene even more ridiculous is that all of the female heroes in that scene had been actively involved in important parts of the fight.

But they all stopped what they were doing for a selfie.

Yep. The most egregious of which was Wasp. She was the actual fricking expert on the Pym tech in the van, not Ant-man. But where is she whenever Ant-man is trying to run to the van to save the fricking day?

Posing for a fricking nonsensical "yay, girl-power!" scene. Made no sense for her to be there within the story.

Well, we're about to get introduced to the female Thor with Jane Foster... I think there's a She-Hulk on the way? The characters are there.. but don't just force it!

The problem isn’t “Girls Rule”. The problem is that Lesbians confuse “Girls Rule” with “Men Drool” and proceed to alienate that half of the audience with a combination of making attractive women unappealing (turning women into men) and through illogical actions (a 100 lb woman one-hitter-quittering a built 250 lb male).

I mean, will it be a GOOD movie?

There are some people in there I'd like to see more of, like Valkyrie. I am not a fan of Brie Larson's Captain Marvel, so that's a strike against her. Shuri was basically Tony Stark with all the arrogance and none of the lessons learned from that arrogance. So unless they change her character at least some, probably not. Lupita Nyong’o's character was poorly written, so I have no idea if I would like her character or not outside of Black Panther. I liked Danai Gurira's character.

Problem is that any movie like this, Captain Marvel would be the headliner and therefor even if I liked ALL the other female characters I'd probably find her time on screen so insufferable to make the entire movie unwatchable. I mean, imagine if RDJ had been an insane-level douchenozzle. I doubt liking the rest of the Avengers would have made those movies tolerable.

It irrationally bothered me that Pepper was in there in one of the suits. Like at least the others have been doing Avenger shite. I didn't even know she was there, but she showed up in that scene. It's like they literally just said "Okay, we need every actress on the property to come to the set for a minute..." It was forced and stupid, and like someone said, Thanos handedly beat it down within seconds.

Put me on the team of "If it makes sense within the story, I'm cool with it, but if it's an attempt to shove something down my throat, I'm out."

I don't care if they're all women, all Asian, all raccoons. Just give us a good story and direct them into good performances.

For a great example of a story and execution that is all superheroines with a plausible premise, see: Justice League Unlimited, Season 3, Episode 9, "Grudge Match".
