It's debt from WW1

ETA:

Britain’s World War I debt was monumental, with national debt soaring from £650 million in 1914 to £7.7 billion by 1919.

To finance the war, Britain borrowed roughly $4 billion from the U.S., and finally paid off the last of its outstanding WWI-era war loan bonds in March 2015.

Key Aspects of WWI Debt:

Total Debt Explosion: The national debt rose from about 30% of GDP before the war to over 90% in the post-war period.

Borrowing from the U.S.: Britain owed approximately $4 billion to the United States for war supplies and equipment.

Default and Repayment: Due to financial strain, Britain suspended repayment on its debt to the U.S. in 1934.

Final Payoff: In 2015, the UK government redeemed the last of its 3.5% War Loan, which included bonds issued in 1932 to refinance earlier, more expensive WWI debt.

Long-term Impact: The immense debt, combined with subsequent economic challenges, contributed to the decline of Britain's financial, global, and economic power

Maybe a bad premature April Fool's Joke?

Or they just picked a stupid day to end the program.

ULL Campus Do they intend to send their kids to private school or public school? Open to either Budget on a house? $350k

I believe the university recently opened a lab school. If he’s a university employee then the kids may be able to go there.

There are decent house options in that budget for Lafayette proper but it depends on what they’re really looking for in a home.

I agree with the poster that said to look in the east bayou and west bayou neighborhoods. They have some very nice homes but also affordable homes off of those streets.

Saw it last night.

Like it more than the first two and I really liked the first one.

Well i guess that would all depend on if you’re a Dapper Dan man
He actually said both coaches that he called for advice said it was the best program in the country.

He mentioned that when making decision he was going to call saban and Carroll.

Saban is obviously one of the coaches he’s referring to but O might be the other one.

Nice to not get left at the alter again.

I can't tell if this is a misspelling or a REALLY clever way to refer to "alternative" related to coaching searches.

My guess is it's the former.
Thank God Saban convinced the university we needed better facilities.

No. We play 10 times, we should win 9 regularly. Nothing like LSU/Bama.

Uhhhhh

Yea….

I love this show but there is way too many nods to other King books and adaptations to keep up with.

This happened to me when I started reading The Dark Tower Series, which is probably the first King book I read.

I realized there were constant references to other books, which sent me down a King rabbit hole where I started reading almost only King for a few years, just to get the references in The Dark Tower
Hmmmmm….

This can’t be right.

I don’t see my name anywhere on that list.
