Final was very easy today.
I'm watching it on a several day tape delay. Wife and I were still watching mid-March episodes when he started. I caught a couple of glimpses of his first few days, and told my wife we had to skip forward to when he started. It has been awesome so far (obviously). Even knowing that he's gonna win, it's still fun to watch him dominate.
I listened to his interview on Dan Patrick's show a week or so ago. No clues there about the length of his Jeopardy tenure, but I'm assuming they've taped the whole season already? Maybe not--I think there's like 88 more episodes in the season.
He talked about walking around Vegas and not getting recognized--actually said someone spoke to him but he later figured out they were referring to him as a fellow fan because of the jersey he was wearing.

I am believing it is more and more likely that James is indeed a robot. I believe he is the version 2.0 of Watson. It is clear IBM has been hard at work and has created a believable Android.

They have indeed wrapped filming for this season. I believe these currents episodes were filmed in December/January.

It’s all about the buzzer. All of the contestants have been tested multiple times and have broad knowledge and quick recall. However, they can’t answer unless the push the buzzer first after Alex finishes the question. If you hit the buzzer early you are locked out for short period of time. If you are slow, someone else buzzes first.
This guy must have been training his buzzer speed for months. It’s almost impossible for him to get first buzz as often as he does.

People claim a person is on the spectrum way too often. That said, I totally agree here. Dude is a savant. Aside from knowing all the answers, he also knows something about how to play the board for daily doubles and how to time his clicks.
