Lowest amount is $200 first round, $400 second round
Almost certain the daily doubles never come from the lowest value questions (200 single, 400 double).
So, you can get $17,600 in single then double to $35,200 with the first daily double. Then you can get $34,400 in double before the two daily doubles. Add the $34,400 to the $35,200 from single, you have $69,600, which is doubled $139,200. That gets doubled to $278,400 with the next daily double. And then if you bet it all on final, you get $556,800.

So actually
$17,800 plus DD round one
$35,200 plus two DD’s
Except there are never any Daily Doubles in the easiest questions and only rarely in the second row.

He just shite on Aquaman. He's dead to me. Looking forward to the cheating scandal that lands him in prison.

Just making a point of what is the max possible payout in one day. I’ve seen the DD in the top row here recently (last month or so). I wonder if the DD question is the same question if it wasn’t a DD, or is it harder?

I didn’t like Aquaman as well.
BTW, that final question was very simple.

My wife and I watch Jeopardy pretty much everyday and I have never seen the daily double from the first row.

Ah, I forgot to add the 1st round total as the starting total of round 2. I added each round separately.

Aquaman was ok, only seemed better because of such low bars that have been recently set in cinema.

I stand corrected, they have never appeared in top row. Must have been 2nd row. It was within the last month or so

You didn't have to be a comic or movie fan to get that pun of an answer. Embarrassing that those two people missed it.

Yeah, but Aquaman wasn't the only possible answer. The other two weren't even in the ballpark.
I did enjoy that he thanked his wife for "bad movie night".
Smart guy.

they obviously know they were wrong. it didnt come to them, im sure they understood the hint. finals are frustrating like that when you're just not getting it and then you hear "aquaman" and you're like "frickkkkk yup. easy."

Sometimes Jeopardy clues are just poorly written and/or wrong. The other day there was a clue about an element named after a “Greek god” (Plutonium), but Pluto is a Roman god.
Little stuff like that happens all the time. I tend to blame the writers when contestants mess up stuff like that.

Unless you’ve never heard of Aquaman. Jeopardy attracts geeks and bookworms, so it’s not unheard of for people to miss seemingly easy pop culture questions.
Look up the infamous football category incident if you haven’t seen it before.

not sure what that has to do with the final jeopardy in question, however. nothing wrong with is whatsoever
Posted on 4/19/19 at 3:15 pm to rockchlkjayhku11
I saw other posters implying that the final jeopardy clue was poorly written.
Also, I just wanted to complain about that Plutonium clue
