Definitely wasn't as bad as I was expecting.

Good plot and the story carried along at a good pace.

Some cheesy action sequences but done in the classic Indiana Jones movie way.

I thought the ending left a lot to be desired. Disappointing is an accurate description.

All of the story and plot drove us to a flat ending, in my opinion.

Not something to rewatch over and over like the first 3 movies but not a bad one time watch.

Sure. But while Christians would say ROTLA dealt with the Abrahamic God a Jewish person would not say that TLC dealt with the Abrahamic God. That is why I would say there is another separation there.

Maybe it looked better in theaters, but I couldn’t get over how bad it looks overall w/ such a big budget. You could very easily tell when they were filming in The Volume and bad cgi

I thought the opposite, it wasn't great by any means. But entertaining enough.

Exactly. I enjoyed it a lot even the twist at the end. Anyone who says it’s worse than Skull is trolling or just saying negative shite to everything Disney puts out.

Indiana Jones dial of destiny
Finally watched

it was horrid

indiana jones was a bit actor in this at best

its all from a bit actors (the woman's) point of view, she is the new swashbuckling adventurer

and he is just a doddering old guy she knows that also knows history.

the ending is even more ridiculous than the story lines

100% Agree. One of the best movie endings ever. Everything since has a been a money grab.

That said, Dial of Destiny wasn’t [i]that /i] bad. It wasn’t a great movie by any means and maybe the low expectations made it better than I expected, but it was a decent entry.

Still think they should’ve just rebooted with Chris Pratt.

I thought it was ok. Was kinda hoping he would have stayed in the past and when the girl got back to the future she would have found Indiana Jones tomb and a bunch of writings of the things he experienced. Thought that would have finished the story out nice

That would have been solid. I would like to have seen a significant portion of the movie take place in the past. Decently entertaining movie, but as others have said, there wasn’t enough chemistry and the sidekick lacked any appeal.

But then again I’m the one guy who loved Crystal Skull.

I love Chris Pratt, but could never believe he had a doctorate in anything.

Watched this last night and was shocked at how enjoyable it was considering how utterly terrible the 4th movie was. I literally couldn't watch more than a couple scenes of that one because it was just bad.

This was by no means a perfect movie, but it had enough quality to be in the middle-lower tier of "good".

The ending was bonkers and stupid and some of the comedy fell flat (It was comedy from a tractile era and the accompanying filmmaking that just doesn't work with the CGI era and its style of filmmaking). Fleabag did really well

The Indy universe has gotten a little too big for me. In one corner you have the Abrahamic God. In another corner you have Hindu gods. In another corner you have alien visitors. In another corner you have time travel. How does all that shite coexist?

Saw a video online that talked about that… how Indiana Jones both witnessed, and in some cases, returned with actual physical proof of:
God
Jesus
Magic
Aliens
Time Travel

That’s insane

The story itself wasn’t a bad idea

It was trash. Originally Indy dies, or is left in the past, and it shows PWB picking up his hat and the whip and that's how the movie ended.

They reworked it to give Indy an ounce of his dignity back, after dragging him for the entire movie.

It's objectively one of the worst movies of 2023.

I agree about the chemistry.

I just watched 2 nights ago.
There were moments mid movie where I wasn't enjoying the movie.

By the end of the movie, I was happy with it. It got back to a good anti-nazi flick. The action was Indiana Jones worthy. And they threw in some throwback references to make an old fart like me happy.

The ending saved the movie.

I did enjoy the movie. It was as entertaining as Kingdom, which I also enjoyed.

I think we just break things down too much nowadays and don’t enjoy things for what they are…

Indiana Jones best "sidekick" was Shortround. They missed a great opportunity to bring him back for this final(?) Indiana Jones film.

I am completely amazed at the shitty taste some of y'all have in movies. It truly astounds me.

Nothing about Dial of Dysentery is good, or worthy of being called an Indiana Jones movie.

We literally have very little to choose from. All of the movies nowadays have an agenda so we are forced to enjoy new movies….. sucks but that is reality.

OR

We could dis-incentivize these woke writers by NOT going to see their shitty movies.

Watch old stuff you haven't yet seen. Or just find your entertainment elsewhere. Read a book. Listen to a podcast.

The beauty of capitalism is that if demand drops, supply will adapt. As long as idiots keep watching these shitty movies and paying thousands of dollars at Disney World, they will not change.

Don't play their game.

I think most of these comments are from streaming views of this movie, so it's not that big of a deal.

This movie was a huge flop, too.
