Great show. First two seasons are the best. Carrie’s mental breakdowns become exhausting after awhile.

As others have said, the first two season are great. It has a shitty stretch in the middle, I think season 5 finale might be the worst episode of television ever put to film. The last 2 seasons were actually pretty solid and it had a pretty satisfying finale. Worth a watch for sure

I got a trial to Showtime with a Christmas gift (sucker) and been watching Homeland. They definitely got me cause I'm absolutely hooked on this show. It is so good! I really like CIA type stuff (24 was a fave). This is a great series. Highly recommend if you enjoy this genre.

After the first two season their was a notable drop off, season 5 was bad.

Didn't have Showtime for a while, got a free trial during the shutdown, starting watching again, couldn't make it through season 7

She had a recurring role on the mentalist. She’s hot even with the short hair.

Yeah, this is my opinion as well.

I think what you see is a show that after season 2, or maybe season 3, the writers ran out of material from their original plan and had to reinvent the show. Took them a couple of seasons to figure it out, then the show finished stronger.

Mandy Patinkin (Saul Berenson) is fricking fantastic throughout the show.

Wife and I watched the whole series. After a while, psychotic, Off-her-meds, Carrie becomes a pain in the arse and tiresome. No matter how good an agent/analyst she might have been, all the other shite becomes too much to deal with. And given some of Carrie's decisions, it's often hard to argue that she was a good analyst. In the last few seasons, she's a train wreck that was never cleared from the tracks.

IMO, there's no way she stays employed with, or by, the CIA for as long as she was.

I liked her as a “Companion” on Firefly.

I watched all the seasons of this show. As in every series, some seasons stand out above others. But, overall I enjoyed them all. Great series and I am sad it is gone.

After what we’ve seen the past few years, I have no problem whatsoever with that concept.

Fair point.

first couple of seasons are strong. You'll want to/should stop after that

GOAT first two seasons. Stopped giving a shite after Brody died and they went in 200% on Carries BP disorder. I couldn’t take it anymore.

Brodys annoying AF kid didn’t help matters even during the peak though.

I’ve had the pleasure to see Mandy perform “solo” (had a pops orchestra with him) live and it was one of the greatest performances I’ve ever seen.

100% Uber talented performer.

like others have mentioned the first few seasons were better but that's typical with all series

yeah...in the vast majority of cases, you have writers and show runners who likely had an incredibly fleshed out story and plan for a 1 or 2 season arc that they developed over the course of years in order to get it picked up. Once the show gets off and running, they have to develop the follow-on seasons in a much shorter time frame with much more pressure.

Some great character development in the series. Peter Quinn is the protector we all wish we had. Max is like one of us.

I know it's just a tv show, but I was devastated by what happened to Peter Quinn!!

Season 1 was incredible.

Season 2 was really good

By then end of season 3 I wanted to punch the TV every time Claire Danes was on it. Stopped watching after that.
