It reached a point where it would have been better without her, but they had to carry her on through to where she screws Saul over and then squares things with him.

I'd like to see a prequel series before Carrie came on, showing young Saul, Dar Adal, and eventually Peter's relationship with Astrid. Their Cold War days could be covered well. Would eventually like to se the rise of some of the Muslim leaders on the show. Guys like Abu Nazir, Haissam Haqqani, and the General Abdul Qadir G'ulom.

They did a good job with the few flashbacks from Saul's early days.
