Yeah I guess that's true. But you'd think her original group would be her "higher ups", and thus the ones to receive a visitor and present them to the queen.

But I'm probably just nit picking

I don't think so. If Sam follows his oaths to the Black Watch. That would make Sam Jr. the heir to Horn Hill. We know Sam Jr isn't even Sam's, he's Crastor's and Gilly's baby. Not sure how that will play out.

An aside, I think that Jaqen H'Ghar will end up killing Arya. Jaqen can't have a rouge assassin running around Westeros stealing faces. He'll be compelled to kill her by his god. Why hasn't he killed her before now? Because of professional courtesy, or because he's fond of her and is allowing her to finish her list.

You know...it just occurred to me that, with the exception of Jamie and Bronn, just about every alpha male left in Westeros went north of the Wall at the end of tonight's episode.

The part of me who enjoys 'watching the world burn' can't help but notice that they have the potential to absolutely infuriate the fan base next week. What if they simply got tired of hearing everyone making predictions about the Hound, Gendry, Jorah, etc that they simply got all the characters together to kill them and all the fan theories at once.

Before/During the episode: "What is hype may never die!"
After the episode: "frick you D&D."

I think many of them have more story to tell.

Safe for sure

Jon - obviously
Gendry - he's been built up as a good smith and they need to forge weapons with dragon glass
Tormund - Jon's power base comes in large part from commanding a wildling army which is due in large part to Jon and Tormund being friends. They are cutting explaining things like Bronn sneaking Tyrion into the castle, no way they create a situation they actually need to explain like who Jon now convinces to get the Wildlings to follow him.

Safe Maybe

The Hound - fans aren't ready for him to die, although that is often when you get killed.
Jorah - did they really save him from greyscale to die on this mission? That just seems like a weird thing to do.

If someone is dying it's the Brotherhood. They were basically sent to help Jon succeed. They're practically red shirts in a situation where the only way everyone lives is if Drogon saves them.

Well also consider that anyone we see die north if the wall is very likely to come back as a wight later on

Yeah this is a situation where anyone dying beyond the obviously BwoB guys is going to be a major plot loss for the show.

Really, Jon needs allies who believe him. Strong ones. That's the whole point of this upcoming quest.

-the hound is expendable. Sorry, but he is.
-BwoB are hardcore expendable
-tormund is safe. No secondary character to introduce as wildling king
-Jon is safe
-jorah is probably safe. The queen needs an advisor who has seen them
-gendry is probably expendable

maybe, but I think he has business left with the Stark girls

yep, the guy who's been resurrected will die. It will be to show us the risk for Jon. I think he turns into a WW, not a wight.

no, I think his arc has run. He didn't want to go back beyond the Wall.

I think all 3 are safe, Gendry needs to do something.

Yes he was when he met Gendry. Gendry said no have no need for a blacksmith with a sword like that. He then walks out of the cave and speaks with Jorah.

If Gendry noticed the sword, you would think the Jorah should have noticed his own sword.

I mean the bear on the pommel and other bear markings have all been removed at this point. It is probably unrecognizable unless you see the blade

he might be able to connect the dots by seeing the Wolf pommel... not many swords (and probably no Valyrian steel swords) have carved pommels regardless if bear, wolf, etc.

What I find truly pathetic is that there can be no genuine discussion on the proposal of outcomes, even not having read spoilers, for fear of being chastized by those who have not the wit to see possible outcomes happening only seconds ahead of scenes shown on trailers. Or is that even trailers for next week's episode are themselves considered trailers?

Honestly, man... I'd rather no one talk about "predictions" for next week or the following episodes as it only muddies the water. This thread can be used for discussion of the mentioned episode in the subject line and past episodes, history, etc. among book readers.

I'm honestly not sure when this thread became the only GOT thread as the Hodor thread seems to have basically been abandoned and a lot of non-book readers have migrated into this thread. I'm ok with that, but I'm not ok with all of the "stuipd" questions, "predictions" that everyone knows are actually spoilers, etc.

Here original group abandoned her after Drogo died and when they were lost in the wasteland (right?), leaving her with a small few that have likely been killed over the years.

People are way too sensitive and complainey in here

- not directed at you, just a lot of bitching back and forth from both sides last night and now again this morning

Doesn't make a lot of sense when you consider in the novels it's the opposite already. More likely Beric or both die, IMHO.

Also, recall that Jon didn't even go to Hardhome in the novels, Tormund did. I think that implies that Tormund survived - but he could die now.

I think Beric, Thoros and Tormund die on this mission.

And I think Jorah has no clue about it. I've never bought Joer's story about a Mormont blade. It wasn't a bear on the pommel, it was a dragon.

It's either Dark Sister or even Blackfyre.

Holy shite!!!! I just read up on this and it is awesome. It's my new favorite theory.
