re: Looking for Players - Guillotine

It's all good everyone. It's the only Guilotine leage I've played in and there is just an extra layer of strategy with the trading. Never even thought about not allowing trading tbh.
We've never had any problems with collusion or sketchy stuff with trades/FAAB. But to each their own.
We're filled at the moment but not everyone has paid, so their spots are still technically up for grabs. Trying to fill and get everyone's payment and then start the slow draft.

re: Chicago Itinerary (Thoughts/Changes/Recommendations?)
Posted by FatClemanza on 10/12/21 at 10:44 am to DukeSilver
Been to Chicago many times. It's a favorite of me and the Mrs.
Sounds like you've got a pretty good plan already so I'll just post some of our favorites. River North and Wrigleyville are3 our favorite stomping grounds.
Brunch: Barrio
Pizza: Lou Malnoti's
Ramen: Ramen-San (best ramen I've ever had)
Upscale day drinks/food: Cindy's on top the Chicago Athletic Club
Upscale dinner: Girl and the Goat
Wrigley Sports Bar: Slugger's
Fun day bar: Punch Bowl Social - has great food and drinks, bowling, pool, darts, board games, etc
LSU bar for the game: The Standard
Nightclub: Prysm
Rooftop: can't go wrong most places, Whiskey Business is pretty fun but we found the food lacking.
If it is open, you should definitely check out the comedy club: Second City. It's an improve style place where a lot of big comedians got their start like Steve Carrel, Tina Fey, Jon Balushi, among others. We went to a show here before covid and had a blast.
My advice is to have a loose plan and don't be afraid to wander around. That's how we have found so many places that we like and were to drunk to remember.
I'd also follow chicago instagram accounts to discover stuff too. Like chicago bucket list and chicago food authority,

Would you be willing to trade your two for two to Arkansas? Mine are section 405 row 22. Right behind the south end zone goal posts.

Would you trade your 2 tickets for 2 tickets to Arkansas?
Mine are section 405 row 22. Right behind the south end zone goal posts. I actually caught the first central michigan extra point last week.

As the title says, I need 2 Auburn tickets and would like to to trade 2 Arkansas tickets for them.
My tickets are section 405 row 22. Right behind the south end zone goalposts. Actually caught the first Central Michigan extra point this past week (bummer that we had to throw it back).

Bachelor Party Help
Posted by FatClemanza on 7/23/21 at 3:50 pm
Trying to sort out my bachelor party right now and wanted to bounce some ideas off of yall.
Looking at a group of about 10-12 guys in their late 20s / early 30s located in New Orleans, Houston, and Orlando. The groom (me) and some of the crew like to golf. Everyone likes LSU football and drinking.
We are shooting for either the weekend of October 9th (LSU @ Kentucky) or weekend of October 23rd (LSU @ Ole Miss)
Ideas I've been mulling around:
1. Tampa
- supposed to be a great party city
- has a huge oktoberfest on for the October 9th weekend
- too cold for the beach in October?
- maybe a round of golf on Friday or Sunday
2. Lexington
- go to the LSU game
3. Destin/Gulf Shores/Somewhere similar
- drivable distance for at least half the group including me
- would probably just post up around the airBnB and watch some football and act like we're in college again
- get a round or two of golf in
4/5/6. Had a few people suggest Myrtle Beach or Austin or Nashville but not really considering them unless I'm missing something.
Any input or locations I haven't considered would be greatly appreciated.

Try a place called "The Urgent Care" in Laplace on Belle Terre. Try to make an appt for as early in the day as you can.
They do PCR tests on site that can come back that day if you go in the morning, especially if you tell them it's for travel.
They also do Non-PCR rapid tests that come back in 15 minutes. Just can't get this if your travel requires a PCR.
They post your results in a patient portal that you can pull up on your phone or computer so you don't have to wait around if you don't want to.
They have locations in Gretna and Midcity but then your swab would need to be picked up by a runner and brought to Laplace since that's their lab location. Their runner picks up at 8am and 2pm.

Edit: Fat Harry referred to the Midcity location on the previous page.

I second those choices
Would like to see them do:
- U571
- Original Predator
- Friday Night Lights
- Bachelor Party
- Saving Private Ryan
- Hunt for Red October or just all the Jack Ryan movies in one pod
- Casino Royale
- 21
- The 2 Jump Streets as one pod
- Master and Commander
- O, Brother Where Art Though
- Raiders of the Lost Ark
I really like the podcast but strongly favor episodes that Bill Simmons is actually on. He is the best at driving the show and it lacks something when he is absent. Also, love when Russillo joins.

.5ppr 10 team
QB: Mahomes
RB: Kamara
RB: Carson
WR: (start 2): Lockett, AB84, Sanders, Gage, Juju
TE: Waller
FLX: JRob or Leveon
D: Cards vs SF
K: Tucker
Feeling Sanders and AB84 for my WR spots but going back and forth
-----------------------------------------------------
1ppr 10 teams
QB: Allen or Watson
RB: Dobbins
RB: CMC if he plays or Jeff Wilson or Melvin Gordon
WR: Jefferson
WR: Woods
TE: Logan Thomas (maybe Kittle if he plays)
FLX: Godwin
D: Bears vs Jax
K: Koo
CMC and Kittle's situations are killing me

What is a beer mile?
Run on your standard track oval where 4 laps equals one mile. Chug a beer then run a lap x 4.
So you essentially drink 4 beers while running a mile.
Some people say if you throw up you run another lap but we don't follow that rule.

We have a system where the previous year's champion picks the last place punishment for the current year. Punishment is announced right before the draft starts.
So far we've done:
1. 10 minutes of standup comedy at an open mic night. This was my favorite. Whole league went and almost 50 non-league friends showed up.
2. 5 day juice cleanse with social media updates on how the cleanse is going, what his bowels have done, and juice reviews.
3. Beer Mile and 20 inconvenient tasks to be performed throughout the offseason. Tasks such as designated drive for a night out, wear your underwear backwards for a week, wear a scuba mask while driving for a week, eat 12 eggs in a day, etc.
*** Beer mile ended up being a big hit and now we have designated week 10 as rivalry week with every game across the league having a beer mile on the line with the winner choosing the losers beers.
4. End of season press conference on insta/facebook live with in-depth analysis on why he sucked at fantasy and where his team went wrong and praising the champion for his fantasy prowess. Bonus points for this guy as he made an official looking background like the real NFL press conferences.
5. 24 hour waffle house challenge. Have to spend 24 hours in a waffle house and you can subtract an hour for every waffle you eat. This was the most brutal punishment in my opinion. Sounds simple to throw back a load of waffles and get out of there but the guy had a lot of trouble with it. Those things are dense.
6. Generic super spicy hot wing challenge.

Try a place called "The Urgent Care" in Laplace on Belle Terre. Try to make an appt for as early in the day as you can.
They do PCR tests on site if your insurance isn't BCBS-HMO or UHC that can come back that day or more likely the next day. UHC and BCBS-HMO require swabs to be sent to an outside lab which would take 3-4d.
