well...one thing I think we can all agree on...at least DisplacedAsswipe is no longer here to ruin these threads. The rest of us are doing it ourselves

HBO removed it.
They should have just rolled with it IMO.

Indeed. Starbucks has the money. At this point no one will bat an eye if the latest round of skullduggery is delayed because someone doesn't have their pumpkin latte.

Daenerys : "I hate being sexually assaulted but if I am, I want it to be on a bed from Mattress Firm!"

Cersei: "Whenever I shoot a very troubling scene involving incest I shot it on a bed from Mattress Firm!"

Jon Snow: "I feel uncomfortable with this. Can I just be the Gary Sue?"

I’m glad everyone has finally come around.

That was the first episode i didnt care for, there was some just straight up terrible writing and bad plot devices. D&D easily have the ability to ruin the series in the next two episodes. But for now, im good with the way they are playing things out.

Somewhat same boat. I've liked every episode and thought people were overreacting, but the last episode had some serious issues for me once they left Winterfell. Serious issues.

I have not. I also have not been this season. Although it has gotten more noticeable. Maybe that is because of the story in itself has gotten worse.

But there was a lot of people who brought these things up before. The insta travel and Jamie swimming in full plate were highly discussed.

Oh, I’m not disagreeing with that. Mainly talking about the weapons used to kill Rhaegal.

I thjnk This was the strongest episode of the season so far.

There are certain things I am willing to sacrifice logic for compelling television.

The frustrating thing is that there are SO many examples of this illogic.

It's like D&D took the two years, spent the first 18 months on vacation, and then came back and said "OK, where were we? What are we doing?"

And forgot everything about the previous seasons, the characters and their personality traits and motivations, and all of the major plot arcs.

GRRM, like him or not (I'm pissed at the fat bastard) wouldn't have written this level of clueless frickery.

I still can't believe they couldn't handle the Bronn situation with a bit more style. But then, their ability to execute plot developments is obviously not on par with GRRM, or really, anyone else. They're just a couple of studio suits who fell into a great story.

I predict that WoW is released within one year of the finale.

The Bronn scene might be the worst thing out of this entire season so far. Way over the top with his weird attitude and vulgarity. His character the whole time up to this point at least had some subtlety.

What’s his most famous line?

Oh yeah

“There’s no cure for being a c*nt”

Very subtle

Is that Shakespeare?

Im partial to “give me ten good men and some climbing spikes and I’ll impregnate the bitch”

I worked hard to parse that one out but when I understood its complexity I truly appreciated bronn

Yeah. He's known for his subtlety.

He was laid back at least then. Even when challenging the Hound or the two Kingsguard while Cersei met with Tyrion. Or even when he first volunteered to be the Champion of Tyrion. And even when he turned down Tyrion the second time.

The other night he was way hyped up and I thought it was somewhat cringey. He went from being the vulgar funny good ole baw who liked to frick and fight to a goofy WWE villain on the mic.

It wasn’t vocabulary that made him an interesting and subtle character. It was the way his sense of honor and loyalty conflicted with his ambition and realism. With the former almost always winning.
