I have to say I really enjoyed the dialogue this episode. Really the chemistry between Dany and Jon on the boat.

Man rhaegal looking for his brother and crying was sad af

At first I thought that was too spoilery for this thread, but there's no way they squeeze that into the 6 remaining episodes next season.

So, based on this, if Bran dies at some point before he is accomplished enough to go back, the Night King is nullified, right? And if he's not, he would simply sit in a trance for the rest of his life, since his spirit has traveled back?
Hmm, interesting. So Jaime ALMOST saves the kingdom by shoving him out the window.

It's a little odd to me how Jon and the night king have some similar parallels.

Was implied the NK was a stark, a Lord commander of the nights watch who went north of the wall and found a woman.

Few more things

True, but that was a legend. I never cared for it, because even for this fantasy world, that seemed far fetched.

That's the Night's King who is a completely different person and probably doesn't exist in the show world. This Night King was created by the CotF and therefore never part of the Night's Watch.

My thoughts exact.

Unless they devote an entire 1 hr 15min episode to it I don't see how they could possibly fit that narrative in.

So Arya is just supposed to forgive and forget the fact that Sansa may as well have swing the sword that decapitated their father by being a stupid, starry eyes count.

The frick are you talking about? Ned was dying no matter what. He had already been arrested when they forced her to write that letter. Also, everyone knew she wrote the letter under pressure from Cersei. "Your sister's handwriting but the queen's words."

The letter is/was essentially meaningless. The fact that it's such a big deal to Arya is mind boggling

but the man the children turned was a First Man, and the starks are descendants of the First Men...they go back all the way to the beginning. So it makes sense that the NK in the show could be a stark, who have a history of greensight and such

NK being a stark is a popular theory because it works within the backstory of the show. It also lends itself to explaining the connection between bran and the NK and offers a path towards the eventual endgame which I suspect will not be a defeat of the NK on the battlefield

Martin did an amazing job of world building in the books and people are just extrapolating what he's already hinted at

Has anyone seen the theory about Jon's sword Longclaw opening it's eyes when he gets out of the water? Looks like it was just the way the camera was filming but I was curious if anyone else had some different views on it.

Came to ask this as well.

This is ridiculous. It took Gendry probably an hour to run back to Eastwatch, probably about two hours for a raven to get to dragonstone, then about an hour for dany to get to the guys at the lake.
Nah, 5 days was a better guess than 4 hours.

LINK

A quick synopsis:

Assume that Jon and company traveled 10-15 miles from the wall due to conditions.
Gendry can run that in 2-3 hours(that's generous, but being off by a few hours is not that big of a deal)
Raven makes it to Dragonstone in 2-3 days.
Dragon makes it to North of the Wall in 6-7 hours.

Who is arguing that it isn't the actor?
