is it carrying a coconut? Could the dragon grip it by the husk? . Or maybe, it's not a question of where he grips it, it's a simple question of weight ratios. In order to maintain air-speed velocity, a dragon needs to beat its wings three times every second, right?

An african dragon maybe...but not a european dragon.

My reaction when Grandma Tyrell put those dumb Dorne hoes in their place:

Grandma Tyrell is solid. She and Little Lady Mormont are bosses.

She was already at that point where she's old enough that she doesn't give a frick anymore (as seen when dealing with Cersei and the High Sparrow).

Now that her heirs have been wiped out I think we'll see her give less fricks than before.

Correct. She now knows her actions have no bearing on the future of house Tyrell because house Tyrell is gone. So she can do something that makes her and the family look completely insane but it won't matter because none of the future generations of Tyrell's will have to live with the ramifications.

Wouldn't Dany be the rightful heir? That is if 1)A woman can be an heir and 2)You can still make a claim even though another family name has taken over the throne (Baratheon).

If it's the latter, then Gendry is the rightful heir.

I don't think Jon has a legit claim either way, unless women can't lay claim.

Did anyone pick up on the nod to the story Bran told in S3E10? About the Night's Watch cook who fed a visiting King his own sons? As punishment, the cook was turned into a white rat and forced to eat his young for eternity. Not for murder, but for harming a guest under his roof with whom he'd shared bread and salt.

Arya fed Walder Frey his own sons in a pie. Frey also shared bread and salt with the Starks. Then he kilt 'em.

Also, the sculptures hanging from the ceiling of the Great Library at Alexan...um, I mean The Citadel seem to be like the one used in the opening credits.

Sorry if this has already been covered in this thread, but upon rewatching, when Lyanna starts to whisper to Ned about the baby, it looks like she starts by saying "his name is A----"

Looks like she named him something that starts with an A. Am I wrong in this? Does this possibly give credence to any other significance/possible theory about Jon?

I'm shocked they didn't just drop dead from having their life forces rekt so hard.

A couple of thoughts about how this played out, and where it's heading:

1) Sansa and Jon; I don't expect any conflict. Sansa's way tired of everything that has happened, and it was all fueled by her initial desire to be Queen. I notice that she seems to talk openly and relaxed to Jon, confiding this and that little worry. She admitted she should have told him about Littlefinger, and other little cues like that. And she warned him not to trust LF.

2) Sansa and Littlefinger- one, he overplayed his hand. Two, after her experiences, I don't think she wants to be anywhere near the Iron Throne, with anyone; so he played the wrong card.

3) Jon and Dany- first off, nobody in-show outside of Bran even knows of his true bloodline, so his claim to the throne wouldn't be too set in stone. Second, I don't think he has any desire to go South, or claim any position of power other than "chief rally leader in opposition to the Night's King". He absolutely has no interest in Westeros politics, he is the sword of defense. The only way he and Dany come into opposition is if she chooses to pursue a vendetta against House Stark for helping stage the coup, and if/when she gets into a position to pursue that, I'm pretty sure she will take a glance and consider the Starks already suitably humbled.

4) Jaime- I think he's all in for Cersei, good or bad. I think he loses a lot of what made him likable, whatever hopes he had for peace etc, now that Tommen is dead. He might deal the death blow to her at the end, but before that, he will be her primary military leader, and lead the Lannisters with brutality.

I think Bronn jumps over to Tyrion's side again.

They know how he became king and saw first hand that it wasn't sought after but earned instead. No way they abandon him in my eyes as he is still speaking for them.

In all the epicness of this finale, I feel like the best exchange of the night came courtesy of Bronn, probably the character with the highest gold to line ratio for sneaking a jab at Jamie when he said the servant girls weren't his type. Bronn hits him with, "Not blond enough?"

The look on Jamie's face was absolutely priceless.

I do think Jamie will lead the Lanister army against Dany's forces, but after finding out Tyrion is on Dany's side he'll turn on Cersi. It's either that or Cersi will try to create more Wildfire and blow up all of Kings Landing after Dany's forces crush her army forcing Jamie to become Queenslayer

I just rewatched tonight and I think she's saying Jon. And the view cuts to adult Jon, sooo.....I don't think there's any doubt.

I don't understand this Sansa vs Jon thing. What makes anybody think she wants all this power? Why would she go through the trouble of doing everything it would take to undermine him?

How would she do it? She was just asked to go with LF and take the iron throne. Screw that, buuuuut, she's just gonna up and take the north? With what?

She's pretty ruthless now, and a realist. She tells Jon he's a Stark. She tells Jon LF is not to be trusted, and then they have that stare down.

I think she was pumped about being back up north, and pumped that Jon was getting all that praise. The look was because in a moment of pure comfort, she realized LF will, in the not so distant future, do EVERYTHING he can to get as much power as possible.
