Looks like she named him something that starts with an A. Am I wrong in this? Does this possibly give credence to any other significance/possible theory about Jon?
No, she could have given him a distinctive Targaryian name that starts with and "A" and Ned figures, lets not make this too obvious, go with "Jon"

Watched this episode yesterday. Easily the best season finale of the show. Really, really great television these last two or three weeks from GoT.
Things are finally starting to fall into place with main characters moving and dying, and storylines converging and things getting less complicated.
Pumped to see where things are headed, and now that Dany is finally headed to Westeros I am hoping that we are finally done with any-and-everything "across the narrow sea."

It wouldn't surprise me if Jamie is the one who takes out Cersie.
Also, I predict they die at the same time, seeing as to how they "came into the world" together. They'll go out at the same time.

A few observations and unanswered questions.
Do not wish to start another thread ... so, this is not just about "The Winds of Winter."
1) At the end of BoB, when Sansa told Ramsay that he'd said himself that his hounds had not been fed for a week .... well ... Sansa actually had ridden off BEFORE Ramsey said anything about his hounds ... so, unless someone told her what he'd said ... how did she know that?
2) At Winterfell, after BoB, Jon said to bury Rickon next to his "father" (i.e. Ned). Now ... maybe I missed something ... but didn't Joffrey put Ned Stark's head on a spike (and taunt Sansa with it)? Did the Stark's somehow negotiate to get Ned's body back to bury him at Winterfell? If yes ... I guess I missed/Hodor'ed that.
3) Did Cersei kill Uncle Kevan out of pure hatred since he was a punk to her at the Council? I can see whacking all the others (damn shame that Margery did not take the walk of atonement ... wanted to see those titties again) ... it would seem rather foolish to whack more Lannisters than necessary.
Loras Sorass Tyrell ... what a bitch ... could have gone out like a boss and told them all to go frick themselves ... but, shamed himself further, got head-carved up, and still got blown the frick up. Ranks up there with the weakest GoT deaths.

He said in the letter he was not feeding them.

You can still bury a body without a head. Just let it go.

I think at that point she just didnt give a frick. Plus it would be tough to have him not attend.

I don't think Jaime's forces will be "crushed" as such- he'll do well; but they will be stretched out and outnumbered on multiple different fronts, and the Lannisters will be losing men they just can't afford to.
Example- they repel a Dornish incursion in one area to the East, but not have enough troops to hold the areas afterwards, because Jaime has to send forces to the West to resist an Unsullied siege. This leaves yet another stretch of land pretty open, and the Dothraki sweep through unopposed and cut somewhere off.
I think Jaime will become increasingly grim as the losses mount, and Cersei ratchets up a scorched earth policy.
And yes, I suspect eventually Dany and Tyrion will be at the gates of Kings Landing, Cersei will order the destruction of the city, and Jaime takes her out. I think Bronn will be sent to fight to the end (Cersei's orders), but Jaime's orders will be to surrender to Tyrion as he deals with Cersei.
I think when he does, it will be a classic lover's murder-suicide, and Tyrion will be the one to find his dead siblings.

I don't think he's saying the baby isn't Jon. I think the thought is that Lyanna didn't name the baby Jon. Ned gave him that name, after Jon Aryn, his foster father. I don't think the whisper looks like "Jon," either.

Littlefinger brought Ned's remains to Catelyn (in the trunk she opens up) when she went to talk to Renley for Robb. I think it was the same night Renley got stabbed by the demon baby.
