Except that’s not what they were going after. It was global warming.

Agree to disagree I guess.

It's certainly nice to see both sides get it for once, but the reason for that is that people like McKay are so far left he's pissed at the Democrats too because they aren't doing enough for his liking

Yeah, I believe McKay when he said he hated Cheney/Bush more than Trump since at least with Trump you know who he is, wears his vices on his sleeve, constantly steps on his own dick, and didn’t do anything close to atrocious as Iraq. I’d be willing to bet McKay would say Trump is merely the 4th worst President of his lifetime, maybe even the 5th if he could be honest about Biden for a second. Plus he also said he’d rather Trump be President than Ted Cruz who he (no joke) roomed with in college.

I completely forgot about that. I can't stand McKay but I'm sure Ted was weird as hell in college

I thoroughly enjoyed the movie. Laughed a lot. Thought it did a good job making fun of everyone.

The movie isn’t really funny, it’s depressing, probably because there is a truth to how shallow & stupid we have become as a society.

I mean that’s how you can describe pretty much any good satire film something like idiocracy or Dr Strangelove is also extremely depressing if you choose to receive the message that way.

Absolutely, this. Everyone got it pretty good.

I was dying laughing at the lyrics to Ariana Grande’s Just Look Up song, was freakin hilarious.

Everyone has pretty much nailed the main takeaways:
-Jonah per usual kills in comedy roles
-Cate is an inferno
-The Dune actor is damn good

I don't know how you see this as some sort of Trump spoof. If anything, her character is a mix of Obama, Hillary, Trump, and Biden. Jonah Hill doesn't remotely resemble Don Jr, and the movie didn't have shite to do with covid. Everything you said is a huge reach and your own idiotic bias.

Had some laughs but not McKay's best...maybe his worst. It insisted upon itself and laughed at its own jokes too much.

I have voted for Cruz 6 different times and like how he votes and regretted none of those votes, but from a friend with a family member in his staff, he is indeed weird and awkward to this day.

She says he’s nice for sure but awkward AF.

Movie was terrible. I just was not funny for a dark comedy.

I just finished it and thought it was fantastic. Not surprised the MAGA crowd on the board aren’t fans.

It’s kinda terrifying that this could happen though, and just kinda points out that our humanity is really just one small blip in the grand scheme of things.

I'm an hour into and loving it. I don't see any political slant

Hilarious that the President had portraits of Jackson, Nixon, and Clinton (photo) in her office.

MAGA has nothing to do with it. It was just boring as shite. There was some mild humor, but just a bad movie all together.

Other than the one guy yelling "I'm going to do an 8 ball". I chuckled at that.

We can agree to disagree on whether it was a good movie or not, but it wasn't because of politics.
